VIDEO PREMIERE: M.I & Naeto C – Bartender (Hennessy Artistry 2012 Theme Song)

I have to say that Hennessey has done an awesome job executing this year’s Artistry theme song and video. You will understand after you’ve watched the video which was directed by Mr Clarence Peters.

The video you’ve been waiting for is here!

M.I and Naeto C continue their historic Hennessy Artistry outing with an incredible video directed by music video maestro Clarence Peters. The video is exciting and unpredictable, with the kind of elevated style that Hennessy is known for. “Bartender” is the anthem of the summer and nothing short of this would have been appropriate.

“It’s the perfect video for a song that’s already receiving critical and commercial acclaim across Nigeria, and I’m certain fans of Hennessy, Clarence Peters, M.I and Naeto C will love this”, says Hennessy Marketing Manager Tokini Peterside.

Clarence Peters, the ace video director who has worked closely with all of Nigeria’s best musicians, says, “It’s a collage of different set pieces, with emphasis on Hennessy culture, styling and values. Hennessy is a very premium brand, and the headliners – M.I and Naeto C – are also top notch. So we’ve created something that complements the brand and personalities while making sure it’s fun and spontaneous. In the video, everyone just blends and flows, and I’m sure the fans will like the result!”.

“The video is bright and brilliant. It’s wonderful”, says Tee-Y Mix who produced the song and also had a cameo in the video. “It was exciting for me to watch Clarence bring my sound to life on screen. He is very talented.”

Following the video release, the Hennessy Artistry Club Tour will kick off on August 31, 2012 and will hold in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

Joining M.I and Naeto on the Club Tour, will be a group of Nigeria’s most promising artistes.
Fans spent weeks voting for the following acts – Burna Boy, Chuddy K, DammyKrane, Dpzle, Flowssick, L.O.S, Ms. Jaie, Rayce, Solidstar, Tilla Man, Tunde Ednut and Vector. The final list of selected acts will be revealed to the public next week.
Since Hennessy Artistry was first unveiled in Nigeria in 2007, Hennessy Cognac has maintained its position as Nigeria’s and the world’s leading cognac brand.

Hennessy Artistry has since evolved from a cocktail-mixing contest between renowned bartenders to a DJ battle, and is now an important platform for experimental collaborations between multi-talented artistes. Previous participating entertainers include Ice Prince, Nneka, Sir Shina Peters, Banky W, Eldee, Tiwa Savage, Jesse Jagz, Bez, Mo’Cheddah among others.

  3. Wow!…this is an amazing video that compliments the song. I'm looking to criticize the video but absolutely find nothing on them… i'd rather go back to trying to fish out something about the song(tune, lyrics and all that) because the visual is perfect… Kudos!.. Fantastic job by Capital.

  4. amazing! great work to Tee-Y Mix for bringing life to this song, for blending the styles of both rappers together so easily and so sweet and for the first time, to Clarence Peters for keeping it simple and getting my nod.

  5. Fack IT … Clarence is best MusicVideo director in Naija .. Bite me if you like … Clean video .. good effects.. good story .. Great entrepreneur .. bless you plenty mehn ..

  6. This video gets a cool A+. It is the first video of this kind featured on NJO that has kept me engaged from beginning to end. For those wondering what kind I refer to, it is a video that dwells heavily on visual appeal, rather than story and the director did a bloody splendid job in execution. Damn! this dude can light anything up for the camera.

  7. I have noticed soji has toned it down alot. abi na as NJO don finally recorgnise am. 3 months ago he would have only seen the flaws (and there a few) in this video. standard politician/activist behaviour. you keep fighting for what you believe until you are settled.

    Good video sha

  8. Once again Clarence killed this one totally. He concentrated more on the production value and he ended up with a great job. kudos bro.
i loved how he introduced MI before cutting back to the bar shots
but Dear Hennessy, I'm sure u didnt pay the other 2 directors who directed the earlier theme songs this much as u payed clarence.
I guess ur strategy was- do a few low budget videos till you have enough money to pay Capital. so a lesson for other directors- when dealing with a big client such as hennessy 'Dont compromise ur standards just because u want to do the job'- Stand ur grounds!. #okbye

  9. OGA critic committee person no fit follow u play .lol////ahhh na wa o i thot we were friends…..//ok o no birthday or Christmas gift 4 u//

  10. I was going to say the same thing – Soji seems to be losing his partiality since he 'joined' the NJO team.

  11. soji has probably gotten a job. he was very jobless. the next time u should spit is when u shoot a video as good as clarence peter's worst video! NJO has employed him to b countin the number of cars passin 3rd MLBridge.

  12. yaaaaay! my favourite rappers from Nigeria…love the song…great video…..now where is the download link? lol

  13. yaaaaay! my favourite rappers from Nigeria…love the song…great video…..now where is the download link? lol
