Here is the first video off K16’s “Tribute to the South” EP which dropped earlier this year. Crisp quality! I spotted DJ Lanre somewhere in the video.

Also, check out K16’s brand new single Ride ft. Funbi which will make his ‘The Return of the Baddest‘ album which is set to be released some time in 2011. Definitely a more up tempo and commercial offering than we are used to hearing K16 on, but he stays true to his style.

Been waiting for this Video as i really like the song. No disappointment. The Ride Song is very catchy. A bit too pop sounding for me, but it's all good. 7/10 overall.
"Have some more pride in you own shit"
Amen to that!
#1. BIG JOKE #2. He claims "have some pride in your own…" Everything he said except for a few pidgin lines, is so American/Western. The use of the N-word and "men" at the end of the lines is not African. At the end of the day, he's not making enough sense but a lot of noise. #3. The beat is okay, but if you are going to take shots at the successful ones, you need to come stronger. #4. Don't give up!
k16 strikes again!! great concept to the video….simple but effective. …………@bundy…….please make sense…..lol
I don't agree with you. Almost the whole rap is in pidgin and he's not taking shots at anybody, just generally. If you don't like it, that's just your own opinion. The beat and rapping is tight. Very different from whats out there now. I see his point. Free the guy jor.
@bundy, thank u very much oooo, don't know what on earth da others r going on about, this track sldn't b heard by any human, forgive me OOO K16 but Bundy's right if u want a shot at da big gunz… u need to do some serious house keeping, get it? man… track's wack!!!
check me out @ Dark Beatz.com i might hook u up wth some dope beats. out!
Guy reminds me of ruggedman a lil' sha……=)
The message in the video is clear…he is not taking shots at anybody..he is encouraging diversity in the rap styles and to a degree, i see his point. A lot of rappers do sound the same these days and the content is always boasting. There really is no substance like he said.
His flow and style are quite unique to him whether you love him or hate. I give him a thumbs up. Definitely not a wack track as bankky has said.
The Ride track is also good. Playful and fun on a nice beat. Funbi kills the hook. Will love to hear more from him. Ride on K16. Make una Free the Guy.
Another classic, solid beats on free me jor and ride took it up a notch. Looking forward to the next album.
