      • this is the debate i be getting into with guys cos me sef i've been seeing variants of this Azonto dance in Ghana since the late 90s and early 2000s. it looks like a natural GH peeps dance interpretation but i'm trying to nail the very person that packaged and popularised it. Most say Sarkodie but i reckon Fuse

    • Nah, Azonto is type of cultural dance that has existed in Ghana for a long time. Just like all them Yoruba and Igbo dance styles. It's just that Fuse made a song and viral video for it which made it sound/seem cool. Basically he funkified the Azonto moves. Coincidentally Sarkodie, released his own song "You go kill me" around the same time, so people azonto'ed to it too. I believe that's why people are always associating Sarkodie and Fuse as the 'apparent' originators?

Nice One Fuse B-) This has been my Jam ever since it has been released. I love this video…AZONTO ain't going nowhere soon, THE WORLD'S GOTTA KNOW!! And I love that T.I.N.A concept – "THIS IS NEW AFRICA". I agree!! Ehen.. and is it just me that noticed that the end looked like they were advertising Super Malt or some other malt drink? Lol.

  18. The most exciting thing about this video for me to is to see the ANTENNA DANCE COMPETITION winners in the video unlike how OLIVER TWIST winners were disappointed. This is fresh, worth watching a million times and recommending to your friends from different nationalities. And, the argument of who originated AZONTO should be among FUSE, SARKODIE AND GASMILLA though I’m giving any of them the credit because AZONTO has been in existence even before they started moving lips to sing and feet to dance but they have really done well in making AZONTO one of the most recongised dance and making we Africans proud out there today. With the rate at which AZONTO is growing and gaining massive airplay and recognition around the world, I hereby, say a heartfelt GOODBYE to ALANTA. I have been expecting a huge come back of our very own dance (ALANTA) but even some of the people (such as Terry G) that could have helped us bring it back are now helping us forget about it completely.

    No wahala, AZONTO all the way. And, Wyclef, no be AZUNTO na AZONTO make you no spoil the name for us abeg…LOL

  25. This Fuse dude ALWAYS exudes so much energy in his videos. That's always a plus as an artiste.
    The video itself was a good representation of the energy.
    Although I'm still trying to figure out if there were deleted scenes as we didn't see/hear enough of Wyclef for his name to be featured in the title.
