  1. Wizkid why do you feel the need to now place bi racial or white women in your videos? I am not being racist, I have nothing against such women. But did you forget that it is Nigerian girls who have brought you this success? Who have supported you thus far? How do you think the young Nigerian girls are going to feel when they look in the mirror and see that they don't have fair skin, or a sharp nose like the girls you now idolize in your videos? Don't you know that we as Africa still have something to prove. Everyday the world spits on African women and calls them ugly, it does not help when our own men, our own superstars do not uplift our own beauty. This is not "hating" for I am a fan of you, and I truly do wish you success. But I also wish that you would consider the self hatred that is embedded in you. Your desire to showcase non black women, or only fair skinned bi racial women reflects on how you see the worth of your own people. Including your mother. Think of the young girls in Nigeria who will feel less than, because their own superstar does not wish to showcase them. Please save it if you are going to come back with the, "I am trying to globalize myself" speech. Because white people do not run and put black women in their videos, and their videos are globalized just fine. Why must there always be self hatred in the Nigerian community? Why can't you love yourself? Don't you realize that when you try and emulate someone else, you'll never get respect. Because you'll never be better and being them than they are. Only YOU can be you. And only THEY can be THEM. You are Nigerian. Uplift your women. You are killing the self esteem of young girls.

    • you should take your crusade somewhere else. try versus debates on YouTube. good point though! but we're here for the music

      • This is part of the music. This is becoming a sick self hating trend among Nigerian musicians. Nobody wants to be proud of being black. Or proud of where they come from. They all would rather pretend. Transformers. 2Face is the only one who has kept it real thus far. Which is sad because he is the one who has opened up the door for all of these fools. I wish he would just close it on their faces. And funny thing is, he became successful with a song that uplifted black women. And it was GLOBAL success. Wizkid. Take note. Make a song celebrating the beauty of African women and it will be your BIGGEST hit.

  2. men wizkid will spoil this song for me like davido spoiled ekuro for me. why do you all hate us black women so much? it is truly hurtful. honestly.

    • it is this same mentality that these music artists have. forgetting that their mother is African. that they are bringing down the value of their own women. smh.

  3. @dguyfrancis Ur comment is your right as a visitor just as i am doing right now,But I disagree with you on simple elements, when you indicated dbanj was fast in clinching to Kayne that is wrong in my opinion, because if there was no chemistry within the two it wont have happened no matter how hard he pushed,Supporting my claim Dbanj did a remix with snoop dog,Didn't you see the chemistry between the two of them? Be fair.

However, pardon me to say ,i assume you understand what we call loyalty in respect to Dbanj and the president,Once your loyal to someone and support his /her desires you don't go about degrading comments about that same person rather you keep silent .please subsidy issue is gone now.

With the beat samples I wont dwell much on your opinion,I think you got it all wrong when you say dbanj has abandoned his roots,Correct me are you saying simply because he is no more with the rest of the mo-hits crew then he has abandon his roots? or what exactly is your emphasis because he stil got the same crew with him, same manager but different personnel now after restructuring, better publicity, package ,distribution which only two or three Naija Artist has for now unless we don't have an inner eye. change is constant as we progress in life .

Let me ask you this simple question …Do you believe in destiny? What if its written this way then who are we to judge lords doing?

Furthermore,Its important you know that Dbanj has always been a smart business man,and Until we all know the full details of the contract sealed then its practically unfair to assume he is doing better in the mo-hits day than presently whereas he might even be pocketing more money now ..Dbanj is a smart business man believe .

    I respect your opinion.

  4. Wow, this was so beautifully written. I really hope that the eme crew is reading and seeing what you wrote. You wrote it so respectfully but yet at the same time you still told the truth. You are wonderful.

  5. In fact all of you who have touched on the topic of discrimination that our own artists are doing to our own women are very correct. When we are caught up in the beat and the lyrics of the music sometimes us men just watch the video without even thinking of how this is going to impact our sisters. My own sister is very dark skinned and she loves Wizkid. I fear what her self esteem will turn to if Wizkid continues to idolize white or fair skinned women. Yes, everyone is responsible for their own self esteem, but you Wizkid have a responsibility to your people.

  6. lol…i don tire to dey laugh all dese wowo black girls…its not an issue what color a girl is, beauty is beauty…e just dey pain dem say dat girl fine SCATTER!:D kpele…no go bleach o:)

    • Why are you fighting me? We are both black, and I am fighting for the worth of not just MY sister. But all Nigerian women. Black women. If you can't understand that, then I am sorry for you. But honestly. I don't expect much from our people. Our own ancestors sold their relatives into slavery because they could only see short term success and didn't realize how much they were setting back their own people in terms of worth and respect. Wizkid right now thinks that he is showing the world he has "money" because his girls in his video are no longer black. What he doesn't realize is that he is adding to the devaluation of black women across the globe. What he refuses to think about is the fact that his mother and his very own sisters are black. And he is devaluing them. Of course everyone will tell him, "YOU'RE GETTING MONEY! DON'T MIND THEM!" Sure… Our ancestors were getting money as well, when they sold their own relatives into slavery.

  7. WETIN D FUCK BE THIS NAIJA PEOPLE PROBLEM.. THE GUY USE WHITE OR BLACK MEANS NOTHING, WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEING AND IF HE CHOOSE TO USE WHITE WOMEN THEN SO BE IT, JUST APPRECIATE THEIR EFFORT FOR BRING SOMETHING NEW NOT BLACK OR WHITE LADIES… HAABA SMALL TIME NOW UNA GO DEY TALK SEY WHITE PEOPLE ARE RACIST…

  8. what annoys me the most about wiz is de fact dat his fans are all black. i came to us 6 months ago and nobody in my school knew of him, and still no americans know of him. so which audience is he doing this for>? de only people listening to him r africans. so why slap us in de face wiz? why slap ur own women in de face? man u fuk up

  9. davido has bin doin dis on a regular yo! d only diffrnce is dis girl is too fine! dayuuum!! @hitman yezzir! #teamsexyladies

  10. Inferiority complex dey worry most 9ja babe!!! look , artiste will only put girls that look pleasant to the eye/on camera in their videos & as at nooow…9ja babe no fine & this foreign video vixens are more professional (body movement etc)…common! let's be sincere…the light skinned ones among ya'll r even bleaching…Noo…they have a unique name for it…UNEVEN SKIN TONE…lmfaooo….sometimes i just go through sm girls pictures on twitter , 0.1 out of 10 is Aiit….the ugly ones have this habit of always using some idiotic effect on their pictures…tints etc to HIDE THAT UGLINESS!!!! THANK GOD FOR INSTAGRAM…Most of una don dey fine this days…Nice one jare wizzy!

    • The fact that you think light skin = fine, speaks numbers. There are many beautiful dark skinned women. I think that the inferiority complex lies within you, and the sad part is that you are not even aware of it. You do not have to be light or of mixed heritage to be considered beautiful.. Unfortunately, many of you cannot comprehend that. It is a shame.

  11. So the girl is not black because she's light skinned ? shey? do you want him to go and put some dudu osun in the video so we guys won't even see the girl and won't enjoy the video abi? nice try

  12. Ok i understand you guys now…So if a girl has a good healthy light skin,Neat & pretty….That means she's not Nigerian? :s , How can you tell this girls r not africans??? Uhmm Biko wizkid/other artiste's too, make una try dey tell this video girls to dey hold their international passport for video make all this girls no go vecx for you o! bye

    • Are you seriously going to try and argue up and down with me that the girl in the Dance For me video is a Nigerian? There were NUMEROUS Nigerian girls at that video shoot. But he ignored us all, and chased after the white ones and the biracial ones.

      • awwwwww…Kemiiii…sorry! So you were ignored? :(( No wonder you're very bitter…Kpele, Maybe you too you're not uhmmm #okbye

  13. These cats typing epistles and essays over the model casting need to get their heads out of their asses. BTW, any statement that starts with: "i'm not being racist" IS followed by some racist shit. If you are conscious of the skin color of an individual to the point you have to make remarks about it: YOU MIGHT BE RACIST.

If you have a problem with white or light skinned models, do yourself a favor and start a 'dark skin only' modeling outfit, then maybe we would respect your world-view.

  14. we way-ing for the videos….lol…i know one thing for sure, with Sesan, the quality of the video will be top notch…

  19. i feel like your actually an ugly girl and you feel inferior watching this video. That's why you had to compose a mini-essay on it. i'm right ain't i?

  20. I was at the shoot too and the girl in the Dance for me video is Igbo thru and thru so I don't get your point!! If you must know go check her out Ezi Emela

  21. Dark skinned girls hate on lighties so much, inferiority complex if u ask me. If wizkid doesn't find dark girls attractive, its not his fault and has a right to choose whoever he wants in his video..

  22. Seriously, why do you guys always expect Nigerian/african women to be black skin, well for ya information the girl you saw in the Get down video promo na 100% naija babe. Haters make research wella before you start boiling.
