The manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola has reflected on his team’s defeat to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

The Spaniard expressed his dissatisfaction as it concerns the final result of the game which saw his team get knocked out from the competition. According to him, his team was not good enough and hence the result for the result.

Yeah [it feels cruel]. We were close but at the end we could not reach it. In the first half we were not good enough but we did not suffer much. After we scored we were better, we found our tempo and the players were comfortable. We didn’t suffer much but we didn’t play our best. That is normal. It is a semi-final and the players can feel the pressure. We have to accept it. Now we need time to process that and come back with our people at home.

Manchester City came into the second leg with a 4-3 win from the first leg of the semi-final clash. However, two goals from Rodrygo in the last minute of the game ensures the match went into extra time, Karim Benzema’s penalty in the first half of the extra time ensured the Cityzens exit from the competition.
