The Ghana Football Association have confirmed the change of nationality of Tariq Lamptey from England to the Black Stars.

The news was confirmed on the official website of the Ghanaian FA, according to reports from the association, the youngster has always made it clear that wants to play for the Black Stars. Lamptey made two appearances for the English Under-21s.
We have always maintained that we will not limit ourselves to only a small group of players but would scout top talents across the globe who are ready to sacrifice for the nation and take us to the next level.
The right wing-back is expected to be available for selection for the Black Stars at the FIFA World Cup that will be hosted in Qatar. Ghana are grouped alongside, South Korea, Portugal and Uruguay.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion manager, Chris Hughton was a key part of Lamptey’s decision-making. Athletic Bilbao’s Inaki Williams has also joined Lamptey in deciding to represent Ghana.
