The captain of Senegal, Sadio Mane wrote his name in the history books of the Terenga Lions following his achievement at the AFCON qualifying game.

The Liverpool player achieved this feat in the 3-1 victory against the Benin Republic on Saturday, June 4th, 2022. Mane scored a hat trick in the game which took his goal tally for Senegal to 32 goals beating Henri Camara’s record of 31 goals.
This is not the only record Mane has set in time past, he is the first Senegalese to win the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League. The 30-year-old is also the first Senegalese to win the AFCON Player of the Tournament.
