Nigerian track and field athlete Chukwuebuka Enekwechi has shared a video that shows him washing his only jersey in preparation for the shot put final at the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The Nigerian shot putter who recently qualified for the men’s shot put final via a TikTok video revealed that he has just one jersey and has to wash it at night in preparation for the day’s game, sarcastically calling out the Nigerian sports administration and further exposing the harsh conditions Nigerian athletes have been facing at the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

This comes after other prominent Nigerian athletes, such as sprint star Blessing Okagbare and basketballer, Chimezie Metu, called out the Nigerian sports administration for treating its athletes very badly. Nigerian football defender, Leon Balogun, was also in the news recently for sharing the harsh conditions they face as players.
