Liverpool Football Club have reached an agreement with the Portuguese side, Benfica as it concerns the signing of Darwin Nunez.

The news was confirmed on the official Twitter account of a Liverpool news outlet on Thursday, June 9th, 2022. According to reports from the tweet, the Reds will be almost €100 million for the player.
The Athletic also confirmed the news, according to the reports, they have reached a personal agreement with the striker but there is nothing official between both clubs. Nunez is been looked at as a possible replacement for Senegalese winger Sadio Mane who might be heading to Bayern Munich.
Mane is reportedly not interested in signing a new deal with the Anfield club, he reportedly made this known after the game against Real Madrid on Saturday, May 28th, 2022.
There is a believe among Liverpool camp that Nunez will fit into the Reds style of player. He scored 34 goals in 41 appearances across all competition in the jist concluded 2021/22 football season.
