Manchester United has won only one European trophy in the last decade. Former coach Jose Mourinho led the team to a victory that secured the Red Devils their very first UEFA Europa League in the club’s history in the 2016/2017 season when the team defeated Ajax 2-0 with a stunner from Paul Pogba in Sweden.
Villarreal: 1 European Trophy
In the 2020/2021 season, Villareal won their first major European honour in the last decade when they successfully defeated Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final on penalties. The penalty shootout was quite nerve-racking as the eventual result was 12-11 for Villarreal.
Liverpool: 2 European Trophies
The never walk alone reds won their sixth and first major European trophy in the 2018/2019 season under Jurgen Klopp. Liverpool then went further to win the UEFA Super Cup in 2019 as well.
Liverpool is still considered one of the oldest and biggest clubs in the history of English football, with a history older than that of the Spanish giants, Real Madrid. Liverpool remains the most decorated English club in European football.
Barcelona: 4 European Trophies
Barcelona has won the Champions League twice in the last ten years. They won it in the 2010/2011 season and the 2014/2015 season. The Spanish giants have also won the UEFA Super Cup twice as well in 2011 and 2015.
Atlético Madrid: 4 European Trophies
Atletico Madrid has won two UEFA Europa League trophies since 2010. They recorded a victory in the 2011/2012 season and the 2017/2018 season. The Spanish giants also have 2 UEFA Super Cups under their belts, both victories in 2012 after defeating Chelsea and in 2018 after defeating Real Madrid.
Sevilla: 4 European Trophies
Sevilla is often referred to as the kings of the UEFA Europa League competition, they have won a total of four UEFA Europa League trophies since 2010 with back-to-back victories in the 2013/2014 season, 2014/2015 season and 2015/2016 season before crowning it off in the 2019/2022 season.
Bayern Munich: 4 European Trophies
The German giants Bayern Munich has won four European trophies since 2010. It is, however, fascinating to note that Bayern Munich has won the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup in the same year or season twice. In the 2012/2013 season and 2019/2020 season as well they won both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup titles.
Chelsea: 5 European Trophies
Chelsea has been successful since the start of 2010 across all UEFA competitions. The Blues have won the UEFA Champions League twice, the UEFA Europa League twice as well and the UEFA Super Cup once. The UEFA Champions League was won in the 2011/2012 season and 2020/2021 season as well. They recorded the UEFA Super Cup victories in the 2012/2013 season and 2018/2019 season before winning the UEFA Super Cup in 2021.
Real Madrid: 7 European Trophies
The Spanish giants Real Madrid have surpassed every club in terms of trophies in European football. They have won 7 European trophies since 2010, even without playing in the UEFA Europa League.
Since 2010, Real Madrid has won four UEFA Champions Leagues (2013/2014 season, 2015/2016 season, 2016/2017 season, and the 2017/2018 season), and three UEFA Super Cups (2014, 2016, 2017).
