The 22-year-old who is currently in the final year of his contract has consistently rejected any offer given to him by the Gunners. The news was confirmed on Sky Sports’ website on Tuesday, December 1st, 2021. According to reports from England, Nketiah will only sign a new deal when he is assured first-team football by Mikel Arteta.

The youngster will be allowed to sign a pre-contract with another club in January if he fails to sign a new deal with the North London club. He tried to force a move out of the Emirates during the summer transfer window, but the Gunners ensured he did not leave the club.

Nketiah scored six goals for the Gunners last season in 29 appearances, with four of the goals coming in the Cup competitions and two coming in the League.

He has also been in fine form for England Under 21 teams scoring 16 goals in 17 appearances.
