D’Tigress were handed a tough draw ahead of the 19th edition of the Women’s FIBA World Cup that will be hosted in Australia.

The Nigerian team are the only representative from Africa, they qualified following an impressive qualifying win over France and Mali last month ( February 2022). They will face the host nation, Australia, France.
Other teams in their group include Serbia, Japan, and Canada, while the other group consists of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sweden, the USA, China, Belgium, Korea. The last spot which was originally for Russia will be determined by the FIBA board, which team from Washington/Sango Domingo will replace the Russians.
The competition will kick off on September 22nd, 2022 and it is expected to end on October 1st, 2022.
