Christian Eriksen has been called up to the Denmark national team for the first time after he suffered a cardiac arrest at the Euro 2020.

The news was confirmed on the official website of the Danish national team on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022. According to the statement on the website, there is excitement in the air as they look forward to seeing Eriksen.
It was an emotional moment for football fans around the world as he was gone fo at least five minutes during the opening group game against Denmark and Finland. The 30-year-old was out of play for nine months because of his health condition.
Now we do not have to wait or wonder anymore. Christian Eriksen was in fact on the list of the 23 selected by national coach Kasper Hjulmand during today’s national team selection. Thus, the Danish number 10 returns to the national team jersey for the first time since his cardiac arrest in the European Championship match against Finland on June 12.
He made an emotional comeback to the sports when he signed for Brentford during the January transfer window. However, he has played back-to-back 90 minutes for the Bees in the Premier League and got himself an assist in the last league game against Burnley.
He is expected to feature in the friendly games against Holland and Serbia on March 26th and March 29th respectively.
