Chelsea Wins FIFA Club World Cup For The First Time In The Club History

Chelsea Football Cup has succeeded in winning the Club World Cup trophy for the first time in the history of the club.

Thomas Tuchel’s men remained ruthless and consistent in their pursuit for trophies in the new football season, and they succeeded in bagging the club world cup today, Saturday, February 12, 2022. Chelsea, who had qualified for the competition after winning the UEFA Champions League in the 2020/2021 season, played in the semi-finals and finals of the match to secure the trophy.

Chelsea FC succeeded in defeating the Brazilian side Palmeiras by two goals to 1 in the FIFA Club World Cup finals to bag their second trophy this season after the UEFA Super Cup.

It had been a tense match extended to extra time before Kai Havertz scored the winner in extra time for Chelsea from the penalty spot. This is the first time in the history of Chelsea to win the FIFA Club World Cup after their first attempt in 2012.

Chelsea has officially been crowned the club champions of the world after a stellar display in Abu Dhabi. The Brazilian side Palmeiras had given it a lot as they fought from the first minute to the last, and they succeeded in getting a penalty off Thiago Silva to equalize before the 70th minute and extend the game into extra time.

Thomas Tuchel had made a surprise trip to Abu Dhabi after being cleared for COVID 19. The reunion was viewed as a booster for the players ahead of the finals played today, Saturday, February 12, 2022.
