Bruno Fernandes described his speculated move to Barcelona as a “joke” or “bad journalism.”
Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes has reacted to the rumours linking him with a move to Spanish Giants Barcelona.
The Portuguese playmaker laughed off the speculation, referring to it as a joke or just bad journalism, following a report from Portuguese media linking him to Camp Nou.
Fernandes, who signed for Manchester United from Sporting CP in 2020, quickly made an impact with the Red Devils. However, his form has dropped radically in recent times, finding the back of the net just once since September, despite being the club’s top scorer last season after netting 28 goals.
Due to his recent form, a Portuguese media outlet claimed that the box-to-box midfielder is a target for Spanish giants Barcelona, who are also struggling at the moment, but the player does not see a move to Spain.
Reacting to the move, he wrote:
And I thought the new year only started a few days ago, yet we’re already on April 1!
Or is this once again just bad journalism?’
