For club football, that involves teams like the English Clubs, the greatest honors you could ever get would be in the UEFA competitions.
It is not different for Premier League sides or even English football in general. Aside from league honors like the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, and Community Shield, English clubs make it a necessity to qualify for UEFA competitions as it is viewed as what actually sets teams apart from their counterparts.
Normally, UEFA competitions are viewed solely as the Champions League, but the truth is that it extends far beyond that, with competitions such as the Europa Cup, Champions League, the newly introduced Conference League, and finally the Super Cup.
The Champions League comprises teams that have topped their league tables at the end of the season. The Europa League consists of 8 clubs that crashed out of the group stages in the Champions League and also clubs that didn’t finish in the top positions (1st–3rd/4th) and the FA Cup winners for England. The UEFA Super Cup is the highest honor in all UEFA competitions, as the winner of the Europa Cup would face-off against the winner of the Champions League to crown the overall winner in Europe.

So we compiled a list of the top English sides that have secured trophies in all UEFA competitions, and some of the names on this list would surprise you.
7. Ipswich Town F.C. 1 Trophy
As shocking as this may be, Ipswich Town Football Club actually makes the list in the 9th position. Ipswich Town actually won the UEFA Europa Cup in the 1980/81 season of the tournament, and although they are currently in the third tier of English football, called League One, this is a historical feat that will always be attached to their club history.
6. Tottenham Hotspur F.C. 2 Trophies
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club also makes an unexpected appearance on this list, having won two UEFA Europa League trophies in their history. With victories in 1971/72 and 1983/84, Tottenham shut down the rumors of not having won any major trophy in club football history.
5. Aston Villa F.C. 2 Trophies
Aston Villa Football Club has won two of the major honors in European football history as they succeeded in winning the Champions League in the 1981/82 season and the UEFA Super Cup in 1982.
4. Nottingham Forest F.C. 3 Trophies
Nottingham Forest Football Club is another surprising name on this list, having won three major UEFA competitions. They recorded 2 Champions League victories in the 1978/79 season as well as the 1979/80 season. The UEFA Super Cup was a trophy this club secured in 1979.
3. Manchester United F.C. 6 Trophies
Manchester United Football Club is ranked third, having won the Europa Cup in 2016/17, three Champions League trophies in 1967/68, 1998/99, and 2007/08, and the UEFA Super Cup in 1991.
2. Chelsea F.C. 6 Trophies
The Champions of Europe 2020/21, Chelsea Football Club holds the second position because they have won two Super Cups in 1998 and 2021, compared to Manchester United’s one. Chelsea also has two Champions League trophies, one from the 2011/12 season and one from the 2020/21 season.
1. Liverpool F.C. 13 Trophies
Liverpool Football Club is the champion of Europe in English football. They have recorded a staggering amount of success across all European competitions. With 3 Europa Cups in the 1972/73 season, 1975/76 season, and 2000/01 season, they have been successful in their Champions League campaigns, with wins in the 1967/68 season, 1976/77 season, 1977/78 season, 1983/84 season, 2004/05 season, and 2018/19 season. The Super Cup isn’t left out either, as they have recorded wins in 1977, 2001, 2005, and 2019.
With records like these, English football would look outrightly successful, but there is another league with far more success in all UEFA competitions and that is the Spanish League. It can be said, however, that if English clubs were not banned from 1985-1991 they could have recorded more success during this period.
