The promoter who spoke with an air of dejection had granted an online interview to media personality, Freeze and had opened up on Kizz Daniel’s excuse for not making an appearance at the show.
According to him, the Buga star, had claimed that he couldn’t perform as wasn’t in possession of his travelling bag which had his gold chain in it and couldn’t perform without said claim. Ojiekhudu had further revealed that while his company was new, in the country, he’d spent nothing less than $300,000 putting it together with tables ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. And added that he’d made arrangements to get Kizz Daniel a replacement for his clothes. The show promoter also shared that he’d booked Kizz Daniel through popular show promoter Paul Okoye who’d tried to appeal to the singer to turn up for the show and in Ojiekhudu’s words, called in from America and cried.
Kizz Daniel was arrested in the early evening of Monday the 8th of August following his refusal to perform at a headline show in Tanzania he was booked for. This development comes after he was booed by showgoers in DMV for turning up several hours late. The singer had also made a no-show at his Denver show which he’d abruptly cancelled.
Presently, the Tanzanian police is yet to issue an official statement regarding the star’s arrest and there’s no information concerning bail or a court hearing.
