Wizkid – Ojuelegba + Kind Love | “AYO” Out Now!

The album on everyone’s lips right now is “Ayo” by Wizkid, which took the industry by surprise as it dropped ahead of schedule. While it’s still too early to judge the album as a whole, my first impression is very positive. Loads and loads of bangers from start to finish.

That said, my 2 stand-out tracks, and possible fan favourites, are “Ojuelegba” and “Kind Love“. Two different kind of tracks, but you’re guaranteed to love both.

Guys, abeg ehn… please, BUY the album. Avoid free downloads (if you can). At least, now you’ve got 3 fresh tracks off the album today alone here on NJO (Listen to “Show You The Money Remix ft. Tyga). Enjoy the previews, then cop the whole thing on iTunes or stream on Spotify, for those outside Nigeria.

“AYO” hits the streets shortly.

  1. love d album…….forget..wiz is talented and versatile…his problem was releasing too many singles…..but dis album is very good…..thumbs up…

  2. god bless wizkid…this is class haba….ojuelegba got me crying ,our hood….bless wizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  3. Now everyone will wipe their punani's clean from Davido's D and gently hop on Wiz's D…at least until davido drops his 2nd album

  4. Did we all listen to the same album? I am super disappointed at this effort to be honest, after all the push backs. Nigerian artists really need to start working on their lyrics and song concepts in general. 70 percent of the songs on this album are about yansh and wyning.

I know some of you here will say i am hating, but the truth is Wizkid can do better, I am sure of it. He has a girlfriend he seems to be in to and we do not even get a great love song that would actually make women want to fall in love. He has a son, why don't you write about that. Even with all the money and fame, your life cannot fully be about champagne and clubbing. Surely there must be more to you. Surely, you must know more than a handful of english words. If e hard you, sing in yoruba.

Lemme conclude with this, baba you are an artist. Do not be scared to give us a piece of yourself, we will like you more for it. Why? because we will be able to relate to the same struggles you face. Open your eyes and see the world, there are numerous topics around, waiting for you to write about. Lastly, working with songwriters is okay. If you align yourself with the best, it will bring out the best in you.

    Signed,
    A concerned fan

    • i seems to agree wit u, but u also have to knw dat dis is naija, and business aswell, u do wat u knw would move ur market, Nigerians care very less abt d lyrics, just give dem a beat dey can dance to and make ur money but all d same nice piece….

    • I pose your question back to you..Did we both listen to the same album? , why do i feel like you had this comment saved up, even before the album dropped ? your comments are sooo generic and typical, that it can apply to almost every album out there. And the weird thing is, while I have always though wizkid needs more solid content in his music and lyrics, i actually think it is very different. Lets see.
—-Ojuelegba is talking about his struggles and has a different and matured 'fela-esque' vibe
—–Mummy mi is givng praise to his mother (because its a dancable beat doesnt mean you ignore the message)
—– In love is an amy winehouse like song that almost NOBODY can pull off, seyi shay was dope
—— One question again is very highlife sounding, with yemi sax adding more and making it brighter…. its a very mature love song.
——-Joy is also talking about his upbringing and the faith his mum had in him, telling us to believe and we will achieve(and its a reggae beat)
——- on top your matter is NOT a silly yansh song, its an incredible song that i have heard in almost every weddding ive been to recently because it gives a classy celebratory emotion
Now obviously, there will be 'throw away' party songs, we hear skelewu in the club, what does it mean ? should we disregard it ? meanwhile these guys are putting our useless country on the map.
Fair enough you dont like the album, but your comments are just generic, like you said it just so people will think 'ahhh this atarodo concerned fan is smart'

What is 'a piece of himself' if not joy, mummi mi, one question, jaiye jaiye etc, what do you want him to do for you ?
To me, the only song that was unneccesary was the show me the money remix, but its a business, and you increase your following by trying to tap into others (tyga), whether that will work, is another question, atleast he tried.

    • Your rantings does not even make any sense – what has Ojuelegba got to do with wyning or Joy even this Kind Love featured here. I know they'll send people like you, but you seem not to be good at what you were paid to do

  5. To me this album he tried every kind of music gen which was good and a plus to his album. Now this is talent. God bless all the young niggaz trying to get it WIZ DAVIDO WANDE ICE BADOOO..

  6. WORDS WIZKID CANT DO WITH, BABY MI OO, MUMMY MI OOO, WYNE FOR ME OOO… I THINK WIZKID IS DONE. IF THIS IS WHAT HE CAN GIVE US AFTER YEARS THEN HE IS FINALLY DONE WITH MUSIC.

  7. This track Ojuelegba is it abt champagne and ass? or about his hustle on come up in lere?..btw cos he's an artist doesnt mean he must sing about his personal life, he has the right to keep those aspect of his life private. Have you ever questioned Lil wayne, 2Chainz n co for not making a conscious or personal song? So Chill

  8. Atarodo, nothing wrong with your opinion. I'll like to assume it was written in good faith. However, you may need to listen to the album properly..a few more time perhaps to get a good feel of it.

Kind love speaks to "love". Maybe not in the way you want it, but it does talk about love and there are a number of other very good songs on the album.

  9. for a Nigerian in diaspora, ojuelegba made me cry. The song is deep, made me miss home. No Nigerian song has ever had this much impact on me!!! Wizzy equals raw talent.

  10. Guy, e nor easy oo to put up a single track talk less of an album.. Dude tried.. Mind you, another album is dropping soon under StarBoy, that one go be fire, I guess

  11. I do not know why all the hates. I noticed that some people that comment on NJO do so to seek attention also some use a very bad sound production like laptops & PC attached speakers to listen to music b4 commenting. I suggest you play and listen to the songs uploaded on NJO using a Home theater in order to get a clear picture of what you will say. I love Wizkid songs, I am a true FAN of Legendary beatz – these guys needs encouragement bcos they produce Great BEATZZZZ …Dancing!!!!

    Coonett

  12. The album is called "Ayo" joy let the guy sing about where he gets joy from. What many people don't know is that wizkid has created his own genre of music and he is still shapening it. Every tungba singer after him used a little bit of wizkid. The album is a superb compilation. Incase you havent noticed davido and wizkid sing about exactly the same topics. Wizkid-talent, davido- hustle. Put the both of them in seperate studios for a week with just a producer. Who do you think will make the most hits….I like davidos a music too. It's all about the Perception of good music based on the platter its presented on.

  13. It's impossible for all the songs on an album to be great! Happens once in a while…

3-4 good songs is ok! That's the REALITY..and wizkid has 3-4 good jam on that album…so!!!!

  14. He has a girl friend (baby) and a son (baby)… He has a mum who is still alive… What else do you want my dear? He obviously can't call your name ' hw eueu' (@hdwshew) as you don't exist. So shut the fuck up – Ayo is already #1 on iTunes world chart and Africa chart. #Success

  15. me i bought the album already to and contribute to the guy hustle do not hate on him pls go and buy the album stop hating

  16. He has a girl friend (baby) and a son (baby)… He has a mum who is still alive… What else do you want my dear? He obviously can't call your name ' hw eueu' (@hdwshew) as you don't exist. So shut the **** up – Ayo is already #1 on iTunes world chart and Africa chart. #Success

  17. ok! hater…do u want ur name on his track, then contribute to his career or perhaps pay him. as a a matter of fact…u dont exist! bring ur best and compare to his!
The dude is rich and talented! black people and common mistakes. choi!!! #wizzyBabeMummyMoneyWyneCorrect #stillBest#no1#AYo#JOY#starboy#EME

  18. If you really want to know how the game works.. Grab a mike and freestyle you will know that itz not child's play.. Let's learn to appreciate them man.. Its not easy… Kudos for wizkid ..

  19. wizzy baby I salute all love too you bro I salute more blessings too you and wish you success you are a talent I wish you all d best and will be expecting more

  20. Nigeria artists hv forgotten that music is all about sending a message accross the world so they have turned music to only a thing of fun.

  21. Do you mind if I quote a couple of your posts as long as I provide credit and sources back to your webpage? My blog is in the very same niche as yours and my users would genuinely benefit from some of the information you present here. Please let me know if this okay with you. Many thanks!

  22. Throughout this great scheme of things you’ll get an A for effort. Where you misplaced everybody was on the details. As people say, details make or break the argument.. And that couldn’t be much more true here. Having said that, allow me tell you just what did deliver the results. Your writing is incredibly engaging and that is probably why I am taking the effort to comment. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. Secondly, whilst I can see the leaps in reason you come up with, I am definitely not certain of exactly how you seem to connect your points that produce your final result. For now I shall yield to your position but trust in the future you actually connect the dots much better.

  23. Good day! This is my 1st comment here so I just wanted to give a quick shout out and tell you I really enjoy reading your articles. Can you recommend any other blogs/websites/forums that go over the same subjects? Thank you!
