Here are 2 songs from Stage One, a gospel group of Jos which are quite different from what you may be accustomed to from a Nigerian artist/group.
Stage One is a christian Rock band out of Jos, Plateau state. The band has been in existence since 2008 but evolved to it’s present form of four members in March 2011. Their style is purely rock but with traces of “Nigerianness” in some of their songs. They’ve focused mainly on perfecting the live act and getting the noise of the music out there.
The Band consists of a Lead Vocalist/ Acoustic guitarist/ keyboardist, Nuhu Gaina, a drummer, Yehoshua Odidi, a Bass guitarist, Joseph Jawfu, and a lead Guitarist, Kachi Mozie.
Stage One intends to, with time, through their music start a movement among young people to generate a belief, once more, in the
Nigerian dream and in the possibility of success without criminality
