iLLBliss aka Dat Ibo Boy is back in the building with a pair of new singles, “Sugarcane” and “One Day”; the former features Super-Producer Jay Martins, while the latter is a collaboration with fellow Capital “accomplice”, Tha Suspect.
It’s no secret that iLLBliss’ Goretti Company has teamed up with Clarence Peters’ Capital Hill for a series of projects (iLLBliss is the “Head of Music” at Capital Hill). One project includes the release of iLLBliss’ next album tentatively titled “Oga Boss” which is expected to drop sometime next year. We’ll update you guys on that in due time.
To the tracks themselves, “Sugarcane” already sounds like a hit. Jay Martins does what he does best with a very melodious hook and catchy beat, and iLLBliss tops it off with power-verses. “One Day” brings out the straight-spitting side of iLLBliss, but on a traditional beat by the Suspect. I’m feeling both songs, especially “Sugarcane”. “Aiye Pon Gan” (with Terry G) was definitely not a fluke.
*O.O*
