This is the definitive list of “The 10 Hottest Artists in Nigeria 2015!”
All week, we’ve been counting down the hottest acts in Nigerian music at the moment; those with the hottest songs, endorsements, tours, record deals, mega moves on the local and international scene, the award winners, and in general, the people we’ve listened and danced to for the past 12 months.
This is arguably the most competitive list yet, particularly the Top 3. It really could’ve gone either way.
Taking all the factors mentioned above into consideration, here’s #TheLIST as compiled by the notjustOk Team!

Worthy Mentions
Cynthia Morgan has released some really good songs and videos this year. She’s also been in the news for 1 or 2 controversial reasons. It’s been a good year for the Northside Inc. Dancehall act.
2. Seyi Shay
Seyi Shay‘s latest song and video “Right Now” is doing pretty well on the airwaves. She also got herself an international recording contract with UK-based imprint, Island Records.
The Mavin next-rated Reekado Banks act has been on over 25 songs in the last 12-18 months, with songs like Katapot, Sugarbaby and Corner becoming fan favourites.
4. Wande Coal
A year from now, Wande Coal will surely be on the main list. His new album #Wanted just dropped but it’s obviously too early for that to come into the equation. That said, Wande did enough on “Ashimapeyin“, Patoranking’s “My Woman My Everything“, and Flavour’s “Wake Up (Hololo)” to merit a notable mention, at least.
5. Tekno
“Duro” is one of the hottest songs out at the moment. Thanks to the talents of Triple MG act Tekno and, of course, Dj Coublon. Hopefully, ultra-talented singer, dancer and producer will do so much more and finally make the jump we expect in 2016!

Davido being 3 because he has withheld a lot of hit tracks because this year has been wasted and also be hasn't dropped his album which would obviously be worth the wait!…this list is somewhat partial being that Burna Boy and Flavor don't have spaces but all the same..Wizkid is number 1 for now let's see what Davido has in store for us #Baddest
I hope next year Davido drops bigger songs that Aye, Skelewu,Gobe,One Of A Kind a more reasonable international collaborations with people that can add to him unlike Future,Meek Mill and Young Thug which do not drop timeless music and most times trash

You are obviously blind I guess. Yemi Alade's Johnny is a monster hit yes but she does have other hits like kissing and tangerine. Not just because u sit here in Nigeria and don't appreciate and believe she isn't that big. She is very big internationally even bigger than some of the ones you all believe are big. Olamide is on one helluva streak, and I heard something nice that (when I asked) someone said was Skales. Wizkid got mentioned internationally, and Seyi Shay is not in your category. Other than that, this is sort of a list of so hot, you better avoid. Cos let's face it, in 2015, hot sorta means crap. Time to start over. This List is trash….. Iyanya,Runtown,Phyno and Falz have been outstanding this year and their songs are all over Africa. The person who made this list is dumb cos Iyanya didn't even make it in the Worthy mention section.

On the basis of the criteria used by NJO viz hottest songs, endorsements, tours, record deals, mega moves etc, there's simply no way Phyno "The Phenomenon" couldn't have made the cut. Aside monstrous hits such as Oringo and Asai, Phyno Fino have also featured in collaborative hits. In terms of major show bookings, he's there amongst the top. Bring in endorsements, only a few artistes boast of more endorsement deals in 2015 than him. Talk of NairaBet, Airtel, Guiness Made of Black campaign (renewed). I agree that no matter how painstakingly comprehensive a list such as this is, it would eventually breed controversies. BUT, a conspicuous exclusion of Phyno from the list is more than an oversight; it is daytime treachery to the word "HOTTEST". It is akin to inviting the best footballers in the world to an award dinner, and leaving out Lionel Messi. What more can I say than to affirm that The List of the 10 Hottest Artists in Nigeria 2015 is NOT JUST OK.

I live in Sierra Leone, wizkid music is so popular over here that his image is even printed on polo shirts and his name on buses. Wizkid songs has enjoyed more airplay than any artist from Nigeria. Wizkid has many songs people are hearing within this year such as Show me the money, Joy,the matter, in my bed, ojuelegba, wonder wonder… that boy is blessed his velvet tone voice is a killer. There is this Korede Bello too but he's only got one song- Godwin. Timaya is also popular

WHY PHYNO IS NOT ON THE LIST: If u are a regular visitor on NJO you will know that this list was release a while ago before Phyno release his Connect song. The staff of NJO should have waited till 2016 before they publish the list because many major hits was realise in 2015 after they have already publish the list. If you read the original comment on Lil Kesh and the one they have now you will see DAT its very different. Meaning DAT NJO felt that their original comment was not very accurate based on the total achievement made by DAT artist at the end of the year. If they had another opportunity to rewrite the list PHYNO WILL BE THERE.
