Styl Plus – Ka Fo Lo (Let’s Fly Away)

Now, this is the vintage Styl-Plus that conquered the middle part of the noughties (2000-2009). Some say they set the standards too high for themselves, but… ol’ boy… my gut-feeling tells me they’re ready to fly back to the top! Simply put… STYL-PLUS IS BACK!!!

Listen to their new single, “Ka Fo Lo” which simply means “Let’s Fly Away” in Yoruba. It’s a follow-up single to their previously-posted song “On The Dance Floor” with Jesse Jagz. This song particularly reminds me of their early days. The lovely harmonizing voices laced over a nicely-produced beat from the one and only Tee-Y Mix gives this song the tag “potential hit!‘ Listen and let us know your thoughts this song, as well as Styl-Plus’ sweet comeback.

*O.O*

Produced By Tee-Y Mix

  1. ah ah!! STYL PLUS go back to the studio and dont come out till u have some freaking amazing song that is going to want to ignite everyone's heart, we are in 2011 get with it. dont bring ur old material back bring something fresh. i hope u see the truth in this comment and dont write it off as another hater comment. Truss me, i know you guys can do it. Just get a new producer *hugs* this song is ok, nothing special and dat ur other song with Jesse Jagz was a mistake

  2. This isnt a bad track at all …. Lets hope it gets good promo and banging video to make it a monster hit ..

  3. notjustok.com!!!!! If I was to get a kobo for any time you predict a song will be a hit, I would be a millionaire. The fact is that styl-plus are still struggling with their identity which is quite worrisome despite the fact that these guys are actually pioneers of the present day hiphop/pop renaissance in 9ja music.
I also feel that the lack of charisma in the group is another draw-back. these guys are like statues in videos and on stage. they are not daring enough musically and image-wise. what happend to thier producer sunki?

  4. i hope nigerian artists will learn a lesson from that memeber of styl plus who thought he has already made it in life and so full of himself,i mean the one in the middle of the pic above,he was so proud, now he is trying to make a comeback, tunde was a kool guy,i wish him the best in anything he does……

      • 1. That's not an an answer to my question.
        2. There's no need to insult someone you don't even know. It's very uncivilised.
        3. My opinion of the song is as valid as yours.
        4. Remember my name. One day you'll laugh at yourself for calling me crap.
        5. There's no need for you to respond.

  5. where is style plus flying to??????
This song no be am at all, this does not just make it all. I think they need to really work hard for their come back.

  6. this is very rookie. with all sense of fairness methink styleplus needs a collabo with one of the established acts in the industry to jumpstart thier lacklustre revival effo

  7. dont really care what ppl say, all i know is that i love your style and i'm a huge fan. ur kind of music is not meant 4 every1 but at the same time, i want ur songs back on every1's lips. wish u the best…..dont stop trying!love always

  11. this is a clever rip off of naeto c's ten over ten beat, all the percussive elements are the same if u lissen closely…still…its a commendable effort..but its up to nigerians to decide if its gonna b a hit or not….hmmmm….lets see sha…but "on the dance floor" is better, and way more 2011.

  12. the song is just to average 4 styl plus mehn na like say dey don jazz them cuz nothing is just working out

song with jesse that most people are claiming to like out of sentiments is not still played by does same people

but to be honest i feel they are going to comeback real soon and with a BANG cuz true talent never dies
but no with this they shud work on their strong point rnb that they charmed nigeria with

  15. I want to assume that you guys are releasing these singles in ascending order of "sense-making" songs. I'm still waiting for the top song, cos obviously we aren't there yet!

  16. abuja makes media guys and entertainers complacent, na di problem of stylpus be dat. no challenging competition there. see the picture sef, no packaging, dem no even iron their shirt.. na wao. u guys are beta than this o.

  19. Welcome back styles Plus…. I dont think they are struggling with their identity, I think they are still in that comfort zone but they need to just spice up their identity in order to make hits…. with all the beats and music producers out there I am sure they will be alright………I like this particular song though but in this day and age it can be better………..
