Big congratulations to every emcee who was mentioned on “The List” and to all the worthy mentions listed below.
Rap in Nigeria has come a long way from the days where no one even gave it a chance and thought it would never become a relevant genre in the Nigerian Music Industry.
Today, we are happy that Rap/hip-hop is now becoming a mainstream genre accepted among the masses in Nigeria. There is now evidence that a good rapper who raps in English or his/her local dialect (or both) can be successful in the Nigerian Music industry, which was not the case years ago.
With rap being a very competitive genre, we are sure many rappers will emerge and those who were sleeping will come back alive to deliver content that will cause the Nigerian music lovers to root for them and swear that a certain rapper is the best artist or rapper in Nigeria.
We look forward to more rappers releasing more music, EPs, Mixtapes, and albums between now and September 2015 so that this LIST will be more competitive and more people will get to know THE MOST GIFTED rappers within a certain period.
Congrats again to all winners and worthy mentions; you all deserve the recognition.

Worthy Mentions
1. Eva Alordiah
The most active female rapper in the game. She always puts a smile on your face when you hear her spit and she refuses to be put in a box. She should be a bigger artist.
2. Boogey
His flow is admirable and if you are not a sharp listener, he can easily displace your ears on your path to follow him. Once you catch up, you will then be able to appreciate his lyrics. Boogey makes use of a lot of metaphors and punchlines.
3. Erigga
South-South rapper, straight shooter, witty and unapologetic lyricist. He also throws in some Warri humor that will crack you up.
4. Ozone
New blood with a lot of energy. Good rapper and when you listen to him, you can see him going the commercial route and being successful. Go download his “Superiority Complex” mixtape.
5. CDQ
A Yoruba-speaking rapper who delivers his lyrics like he has been rapping for a decade and it also helps that his producer is Masterkraft.
