On the 28th of April, Burna Boy will once again prove himself to be the African Giant as he’ll be headlining at the Madison Square Garden in New York City. In a music industry of amazing firsts and milestones, Burna Boy’s upcoming performance is doubly significant as he’ll not only be performing at the venue as a solo act but also sold it out, joining the likes of Justin Bieber, Elvis Presley and members of The Beatles who have sold out the 20,789 capacity arena. To mark this moment & also lays the African Giant for the awesome trail of African excellence he’s left all over the continent, in this story, we chronicle Burna Boy’s headline shows since 2021 and his Space Drift Tour. 1. Ziggodome, Amsterdam

Burna Boy’s last stop before he conquers Madison Square Garden, this arena which is located in Amsterdam at the capital of Netherlands, sits 17,000 and the African Giant had pulled up on the 14th of April to the venue with his usual Space Drift Tour flair; in a race car and race gear before giving the crowd a killer show. 

2. Rotterdam, Ahoy, Amsterdam

With a capacity of 16, 426 people, Burna Boy had lit up the Dutch landmark arena on the 12th of April and once again made an unforgettable stake as one of the best performers out of Africa alongside his band, The Outsiders. 

3. Accor Arena, France

First, Burna Boy had made himself known to every corner of the 20,300 capacity arena on the 10th of November, 2021, becoming the first African act to sell out the venue. 

And then on the 21st of March, 2022, the star had scored a brace, selling it out for the second time and giving Parisians a mindblowing dose of his powerful artistry. 

4. Ao Arena, Manchester, London

Nigerians may be more familiar with the 02 Arena located in the capital city of England, London, but the Manchester Ao Arena is definitely no child’s play at a capacity of 21,000. A thousand seats more than the 02. 

For this show which had happened on the 20th of March, Burna Boy had joined forces with the African Bad Gyal, Tiwa Savage and Jamaican Beenie Man.

5. Geneva Arena

At Geneva, Dublin, Burna Boy had shown the world why his verse on Dave’s Location remains one of the best cultural crossovers ever as the 9,500 strong crowd floored internet watchers by singing along to Burna’s verse word for word. 

The show had taken place at the Geneva Arena on the 18th of March, a few days after the African Giant had given Parisians and Londoners a show that would remain etched in their memories and for his fans in Dublin.

6. 3Arena, Dublin

Like the Pied Piper of Hamelin, sure to attract a crowd of kids at the behest of his magic flute, Burna Boy had made music lovers at the capital city of Ireland, Dublin, turn out for a truly memorable show at the 13,000 capacity 3Arena on the 17th of March which is also the much-loved Irish holiday, St. Patrick’s Day. 

7. Hovet Arena, Sweden

Burna Boy had taken the Swedish Arena by storm on the 6th of November. Located in Stockholm, the capital of the country, it had been a far-reaching night of beautiful music as Burna thrilled the 8,000 plus crowd to his music. 

8. Barclays Center, Hamburg, Germany

On the 27th of November, Burna Boy had treated the 19,000 strong crowd at the Barclays Center in Hamburg, Germany to a show that proved that he is indeed the African Giant. 

9. Hollywood Bowl

Burna Boy made a new record on the 6th of October 2021 when he became the first Nigerian singer to headline a show at the iconic venue. 

The star had brought out the entire city of Los Angeles to watch him perform at the 17,500 capacity arena and he’d recruited American singers Queen Naija and UMI to shut down the show with him. 

He also brought out Wizkid and Poco Lee to give the show goers a 5-star experience which he’s set to give a repeat of come at the Madison Square Garden.
