I’m sure you already know the story (and the diss tracks), so I’ll spare you the details. Due to several requests on Social Media, Godwon decided to say his own side of the story behind the “beef” with SiNZU which became public after The “Most Gifted Rappers“ List came out.
Godwon and I had an interesting convo over the phone this past Sunday, and to even things up, it was recorded. He took time to address some of the remarks SiNZU made on the recorded phone call which we made public sometime last month (Click here if you missed it).

I find it appalling when Nigerians have a problem when people who grow up outside Nigeria speak with an accent. I was born in Nigeria and relocated to England when i was 10 so safe to say my accent was developed but having lived in Englad for the past 17 years and not returning home once i have since been 'multi-accented' so why complain when i decide to speak in whatever accent i choose and the truth is i get more done with Naija peeps that way and not to mention the girls who fall for it easily.

Rubbish. if your formative years are spent in Nigeria,it is almost impossible to get a different accent unless it is fake. There is almost no way you will go to yankee or jan as a teenager and get an accent,even if you spend 50 years there. A few words here and there will sound different but to start speaking from your nose is pure FAKE.
Same reason a 5 year old kid that goes abroad and spends 6 months comes back with an accent cos at that age their phonetics are still being formed and is easily altered after a short change.

Well, Obviously not because like you said, he's '50'. However, it all depends on the individual..We're talking about Godwon here; Godwon ain't a 50 year old man from Oshogbo and he's spent a lot of time in the U.S. It's just social norm tbh.. there's no rule that states that just because you have a certain accent, you can not adjust to your present environment.
