Nigeria’s 100 meters Hurdles specialist, Oluwatobiloba Amusan has written her name in Gold at the Commonwealth Games.

The Nigerian was coming into the games, holding the record of the World Champion following her triumph at the World Athletics Championship which was hosted in Oregon. Amusan set a new record of 12.30 seconds at the Commonwealth 100 meters in the final race on Sunday, August 7th, 2022.
Tobi’s triumph has increased Nigeria’s Gold medal at the games to ten (10). She currently holds the record of the World Champion, Africa Champion and Common Wealth Champion.
She is the first world champion from the world championship to win Gold at the Commonwealth Games.
