The supporters of the Blues should expect a lot of goals from the boots of the English player. Sterling joined Manchester City during the 2015/16 football season and he is the second-highest goal scorer during his period at the Etihad Stadium.
The 27-year-old scored 131 goals across all competitions with only the club’s highest goal scorer, Sergio Aguero is ahead of the English man with 153 goals. Chelsea fans will hope Sterling can replicate the same or give a better form whenever he is called upon to represent the Blues.
Sterling expressed his delight as it concerns his move from the Premier League Champions to join Chelsea Football Club. He also looked forward to winning more trophies with the Stamford Bridge club.
First and foremost, it’s a pleasure to be here. I’ve obviously achieved a lot in my career so far, but there is still so much more to achieve and I’m really looking forward to doing that in a Chelsea shirt, under Thomas’s management. London is my home and where it all started for me, and it’s amazing I now have the opportunity to play in front of friends and family week in, week out at Stamford Bridge. I’m really looking forward to meeting the fans there soon. I do want to take the opportunity to thank Todd, Behdad, the ownership group, Thomas, and all involved in the process of getting me here.I can’t wait to get going now and continue to do my talking on the pitch.
Chelsea’s coach, Thomas Tuchel has been a huge supporter of Sterling and has always wanted him at Stamford Bridge. He is the first signing of the Men’s football club under Todd Boehly’s Era.
