The man of the hour, Burna Boy has shared on the feelings and process that went down when he and Ed Sheeran made For Your Hand off his latest album, Love Damini. More details below.
Nigerian Afro-fusion megastar, Burna Boy, has opened up on what it felt like to work with British star, Ed Sheeran on For Your Hand which is the second promo single off his newly released Love Damini album.
Sharing this in conversation with Zane Lowe for an Apple Music show, Burna Boy had enthusiastically spoken about the process behind the making of his single with Ed Sheeran on For My Hand as well as his admiration for the singer. The singer said; “Ed is probably the most amazing guy I’ve met in my life, man. He got me because he showed nothing but love from day one. So it’s something that was really natural. We made like five songs on the same day. That’s how organic it was. This was the last one we did, we started working on and he was like, “Yeah, this is it. And then we made this one and then boom, it was just next level.”

The singer also spoke about the significance of Love Damini to him. According to Burna Boy, the album is like a birthday gift to himself and for him was the best thing he could give himself. Speaking on his general album birthing process, he said; When I’m making a project, I know what the project is. It has to start with the name of the project. And then we build… It’s like a movie. If the movie is called Matrix or whatever then in the movie, there should be some matrix things going on and some zeros and ones. You can’t have a movie called Matrix and then there’s flowers and Seth Rogen smoking weed and stuff like that.”
The conversation with Zane Lowe is set to premiere on Apple Music on the 8th of July following the release of his highly-anticipated sixth studio album, Love Damini.
