The Super Eagles of Nigeria has broken the country’s goal-scoring record in the AFCON qualifiers 2023 fixture against Sao Tome and Principe.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria ran riots on the national side of Sao Tome and Principe to set a new goal-scoring record in the country’s international football history in the AFCON qualifiers 2023 which took place today, Monday, June 13, 2022.

The Super Eagles scored an astonishing 10 goals against the Sao Tome and Principe side who could not even score one in response.

This is the highest goal margin Nigeria has ever used to defeat any other national side. Napoli striker Victor Osimhen scored 4 goals in the 9th, 48th, 65th and 84th minutes. Moffi bagged 2 goals in the 43rd and 60th minute with players like Moses Simon scoring in the 28th minute, Oghenekaro Etebo (55′), Ademola Lookman (63′) and Emmanuel Dennis (90+2′) as well.

This victory follows the victory the team had attained against Sierra Leone in the first fixture of the AFCON qualifiers.
