Ace singer Oxlade in a recent interview with Tim Westwood TV revealed that the African music market had not picked up on artists like CKay, Burna Boy, Amaarae and several other talented artists early before they became viral.
Tim Westwood and Oxlade had discussed that the moment an artist becomes viral in Africa they automatically become global as well, Tim Westwood had mentioned that if they could not get the audience in Africa they could not connect to the rest of the world.
Oxlade had been quick to correct this citing examples like CKay, Burna Boy and Amaarae who were not recognized well enough in Africa till they became viral and global.
