Cameroon’s first-choice goalkeeper Andre Onana was involved in a serious car accident on his way to join the rest of the squad ahead of their 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Algeria on Friday, March 25, 2022.
Andre Onana was stated to have been on his way to the training camp in Doula from the capital city of Yaounde in the early hours of Tuesday, March 22, 2022, when the incident occurred. He was reported to have made it out of the accident without any serious injuries, although the incident had involved three cars.

However, it is uncertain if he would be available for the first leg of the world cup qualifiers against Algeria.
