Wizkid Equals 27-Year-Old Billboard Charts Record With ‘Made In Lagos’

Starboy, Wizkid is off to a great start with records in 2022 as he officially equals a 27-year record on the Billboard charts with his classic album ‘ Made in Lagos. ‘

Aside from being the highest and the longest-charting Nigerian artist on the Billboard World Album charts, Wizkid has taken it up a notch by joining the African legends to have the longest-charting album on the Billboard charts; with the album ‘ Made In Lagos. ‘

Wizkid now ties the African legend, Cesaria Evora, to have the longest-charting album on the Billboard World Album Charts with 66 weeks.

The Cape Verdean singer, Cesaria Evora, with her Grammy award-winning album, Cesária, had spent a total of 66 weeks on the charts peaking at the number 2 position, which made her the only African to spend that long on the charts.

Starboy Wizkid has equalled that record with his ‘ Made in Lagos ‘ album that has also spent a total of 66 weeks on the Billboard charts, and it still seems that it might still be on the charts. This means that Wizkid is one week away from breaking the record and becoming the highest-charting African on the Billboard World album charts.
