Watford Football Club have confirmed the appointment of Roy Hodgson as the new manager of the Hornets.

The news was confirmed on Watford’s official website on Tuesday, January 25th, 2022. The appointment of the former Crystal Palace manager was confirmed after the sacking of Claudio Ranieri by the board.
Hodgson will come to Watford with a wealth of experience from coaching the Three Lions for four years. He also took the team to the Euro 2012 competition, the World Cup in 2014 and the Euros in 2016.
He led Palace to an 11th place finish during the 2017/18 Premier League season. Watford fans will hope he can replicate the same feat for them when the League results after the two weeks winter break.
