Kevin De Bruyne, Jorginho, and N’golo Kante have been nominated for the UEFA Men’s Player of The Year award. This is the second time De Bruyne is been nominated for the award. The Belgian was key for Manchester City in winning the Premier League and the Carabao Cup last season.
The shortlist was announced by the body governing football in Europe, UEFA, on Thursday, August 19, 2021. The winner of the awards will be announced on August 26, 2021.

Jorginho was part of the Chelsea team that won the UEFA Champions League and part of the Italian team that won the Euro 2020 at Wembley. Kante was also an influential part of the Chelsea team that won the Champions League, the french man won player of the match in the final against Manchester City.
Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola, Chelsea’s head coach, Thomas Tuchel and Italy’s coach Roberto Mancini were nominated for UEFA Coach of the year. In the Women’s category Chelsea’s coach Emma Hayes, Barcelona’s coach lIuis Cortes and Sweden’s manager Peter Gerhardsson were all nominated for the award.
