Veteran Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie released his much anticipated No Pressure album yesterday and it is notable for the exclusion of Moelogo’s credit as a featured artist.
Moelogo‘s vocals were quite obvious on Sarkodie‘s album, on the song Fireworks that also featured American rapper, Wale. The album was released on Friday, the 30th of July 2021.
Fans of Moelogo who recognized the singer’s voice realized that he took the hook on Fireworks but he was not credited as appropriate. Instead, the only credit he was given on the album was as a co-writer for that song. This did not go down well with Nigerian fans who stormed the Twitter space to express their displeasure.
Music enthusiast, @YomYom_ asked;
I don’t understand.. in BIG 2021
Sarkodie dropped a song that featured our very own Moelogo and Wale
He put Wale’s name on it and excluded Moelogo’s name ?
This SWEET hook ?Na wetin dey start Ghana vs Nigeria fight be this o
Another Twitter user @vantage_suite described it as a disrespect to the singer. He wrote;
I find jt absolutely disrespectful that @sarkodie omitted the name of @moelogo from his #NoPressure album. Moelogo did the hook on that song and it is best thing I have heard since brymo on Oleku. That hook is the best part of the song. This is a crime that needs to be addressed.
