After setting a date on Twitter on the 6th of October, 2020, Nigerian rapper and Singer, Runtown and Falz have hit the street with Nigerians to March against the brutality Nigerian youths are facing in the hands of SARS snd this time they’re asking that the scheme be abolished.
The protest, which is ongoing 0as at the time of this post on the 8th of October 2020, saw a large number of Nigerians including celebrities led by Runtown and Falz on the streets calling the attention of the Nigerian government to face the issue that can no longer be overlooked and abolish SARS.
According to Falz during the protest, SARS should be abolished because the strategy to “reform” isn’t working.
Falz in his interview said;
We have to ginger everyone, we are going to let our intentions be known we don’t want SARS anymore. They come with all sorts of stories about reform, “what they are allowed and what they aren’t allowed to do but it’s about time to completely abolish SARS and that’s why we are here”.
He urged the government to intervene and abolish the service as it has clearly done more harm than the protection it is meant to.
