  1. Thats what I call Originality that kind of music is called Taarabu or Mduara and can only be found in the coastal zone of East African he just keep on representing East Africa just like he did with mdogo mdogo. Well done Diamond Platnumz this is another hit for sure.

  2. Diamond This has Gone Far Enough! It is is True that Tanzania We Don't Have Elegant Caltural Dresses Like The WestvAfricans. But to advertise what shamefully can only be described as colonial slave garments which we never WORE on our naked Backs but our Slave masters DD is Reachin nd GRABBING 2 Far.

    • It's not that we don't have elegant cultural dresses, we just don't embrace/enhance what we already have. The kanga fashion is a good example: http://lamutamu.com/2010/11/01/fashionista/

Also Diamond wore garments that represents the Arab and the Indian culture. The colonial masters wore suits & tie but many Africans still wear them today, perhaps you have worn one yourself.

  3. This Was Trully Disturbing To Watch! Tanzania was an Arab colony prior to the Germans and English. The Arab rule was both culturally and Spiritually Oppresive. It DDNT just rob us population but it robe us of our spirits… But Tanzanian rejected Arab rule in 1965 by committing a massive genocide that ridded the cost of the reminants of this Toxic. alien Invasive population and culture. Ever since then we have proverbially an authentic BANTU culture and society even the offical colers of the ruling Goverment party was turned to Green.

    • 1. Jake, the anti-colonial arguments are valid.
      2. Can you also comment on the song. Is it Tanzanian? It sure sounds indigenous to me and I commend him massively for that. Flavour is the only mega mainstream Nigerian artiste who still retains that form of authenticity. Uhuru!

  4. So it is powerfully shameful to see us culturally sucking up to the people who rendered our lives intolerant. Tanzania is an Authentic BANTU Nation same as Congo Same as Camerron and the proverbial Nigerian, that is our True Ancestry it's a shame almost 60years after independence and we have Beach made talent less Tanzanian artist like this advertising Arabic culture public on TV…it's disgusting is what it is!

  5. Hold on, How dafuq did this Nigga get 11comments on NJO, i think he is paying people to do online social for him… good idea tho…lol

  6. Jake, ever been in Tanzania? Ever been in part along the coastline of Tanzania from Tanga to Mtwara not mentioning Zanzibar and Mafia? Among the culture available in Tanzania is Swahili culture widely spread along the coast line including Zanzibar and Mafia! Swahili culture is the blend of Arab culture and indigenous Africans. Be reminded, Arabs are there for almost 1000 years and are part of Tanzanian community. What Diamond wore is found everywhere around the mentioned regions. If you go to Zanzibar, majority appear in similar dressing! You'll find the same in Tanga, Mafia even Dar es salaam. That kind of music is available in coast area of Tanzania. Just be informed that, if Diamond could dress different from this, it wouldn't reflect the true culture of the music. If probably could dress in T-Shirt and Jeans for instance, it'd look as a millennium joke! If he'd dress typically in Bantu style, it wouldn't give the real picture of the music coz' though the music is traditional one but a traditional music found in coast area of Tanzania and not far interior where people have their own way traditional dressing far different from how people in coast areas dress!

  7. Rubbishing all the comments out here that's criticizing the lovely apparel that DP has pulled up so well… he is looking adoring… kudos to u DP 🙂
