“Hawajui” by Tanzanian star, Vanessa Mdee, is a song (and video) we criminally slept on. I watched the video when it dropped on Cable TV back in Naija over the Xmas period, but I wasn’t in a position to post content as much as I do. It turns out the song is now a certified hit, particularly in East Africa. Am I surprised? Not at all. The joint is lovely!

When I first heard it on Coke studio Africa (the version she performed with Burna Boy), I legit went to find out who she was (yup, I own the Lastma trophy) and to also look for all available music content relating to her. She's got some nice songs.
