The 10 Most Gifted Rappers In Nigeria 2014 | FULL LIST

Big congratulations to every emcee who was mentioned on “The List” and to all the worthy mentions listed below.

Rap in Nigeria has come a long way from the days where no one even gave it a chance and thought it would never become a relevant genre in the Nigerian Music Industry.

Today, we are happy that Rap/hip-hop is now becoming a mainstream genre accepted among the masses in Nigeria. There is now evidence that a good rapper who raps in English or his/her local dialect (or both) can be successful in the Nigerian Music industry, which was not the case years ago.

With rap being a very competitive genre, we are sure many rappers will emerge and those who were sleeping will come back alive to deliver content that will cause the Nigerian music lovers to root for them and swear that a certain rapper is the best artist or rapper in Nigeria.

We look forward to more rappers releasing more music, EPs, Mixtapes, and albums between now and September 2015 so that this LIST will be more competitive and more people will get to know THE MOST GIFTED rappers within a certain period.

Congrats again to all winners and worthy mentions; you all deserve the recognition.10mostgifted2014

The 10 Most Gifted Rappers In Nigeria 2014 | FULL LIST

1. Phyno

2. Olamide

3. Reminisce

4. Mojeed

5. Modenine

6. Jesse Jagz

7. Ice Prince

8. iLLBLiSS

9. Falz

10. Yung6ix

Worthy Mentions

1. Eva Alordiah

The most active female rapper in the game. She always puts a smile on your face when you hear her spit and she refuses to be put in a box. She should be a bigger artist.

2. Boogey

His flow is admirable and if you are not a sharp listener, he can easily displace your ears on your path to follow him. Once you catch up, you will then be able to appreciate his lyrics. Boogey makes use of a lot of metaphors and punchlines.

3. Erigga

South-South rapper, straight shooter, witty and unapologetic lyricist. He also throws in some Warri humor that will crack you up.

4. Ozone

New blood with a lot of energy. Good rapper and when you listen to him, you can see him going the commercial route and being successful. Go download his “Superiority Complex” mixtape.

5. CDQ

A Yoruba-speaking rapper who delivers his lyrics like he has been rapping for a decade and it also helps that his producer is Masterkraft.

Do you agree with “The List” compiled by the NotJustOk Team? As usual, let us know your thoughts/opinions. Feel free to share your own rap list for the Year 2014 in the comment section.

  1. this list is bullshitzz, withjesse jazz at 6th and moved at 4th and vector absent and mode nine down at 5th. all kinds of things ar wrong with this list but its notjustok list. its not relevant. jokes.

  2. this list should be tagged "the hottest rappers in Nigeria". here is why; phyno is hotter than jesse jagz but definitely not gifted than him, regardless of the period under review

  3. It's notjustok just as it name of the site you don't expect a positive thing from them. Olamide and phyno these guys trick Nigerian by the use of the language. Their flows are not original. They copy flow from a lot of foreign artists. Notjustok is one the major factors we Nigerian don't listen to good music. They are too biase in everything they do.

  4. The owner of NotjustOk is an Igbo guy so what u xpect of him,The list is absolute rubbish,u guys are not being real about this,MI,Vector, are missing,Well we all know who spit most,so u guys can be cool with ur list..we don't care..

  5. So SERIKI didnt make the list of Worthy Mentions too? even with his Heavy word plays on Small Jagaban, Baba O and Eleda Masun ? He rhymes better than almost every naija rapper

  6. Notjust abeg change the tittle to"hottest" or perhaps "reigning" not GiFTED … If its gifted MODENINE shld b no 1… way above others… He might not b hot like now o.. But that dude is gifted… Vector should also b on the list..
Hmmmm.. MI??… í dnt tink he is..

    Nice list overall!..

  7. if we are talking pure unadulterated hip hop as an art not these commercialised lyrics to sooth the naija market…Modenine is still number 1 anyday. for all of you calling out on M.I that dude is overrated…afro hiphop, Phyno na no 1,
make una no call vector here abeg…

  8. D pple dat did dis list are dom..were is mr v.e.c were is m.I were is T.R aka boiz r not smailing..dis list is 4k up

  9. actually d list is cute, but I think notjustok should change dat heading to naija most craziest. but all d same u guys got those I need on dat list. shout out to olamide phyno yung6x Jessy jags, but I think Eva should replace 1 person cos she's dope.

  10. Kahli Abdu dropped couple of tracks within the specified time, i wonder why he's not on the list… And ya'll are talking about gifted and A-Q ain't here… This list is a joke.
Tho, its credible to an extent, I still dont see any reason why A-Q shouldn't be on the list… And i recollect seeing it here on notjustok that A-Q's "We are dreaming" ft Sojay is the most creative hiphop track of the year… Dunno if its a biased list or it prolly skipped your minds, but i think it will help consulting professionals where you ain't too sure about something

  11. THIS NOTJUSTOK LIST IS PURE RUBBISH!..How would Phyno be number 1 when people don't know or understand what the heck he's saying..

    • Even if you dont know what hes saying in the west, they got him perfectly in the east, the same with Olamide. The guy deserves the spot. The flow, the lyrics and of course hes damn hot and famous in the year under review

  12. Decent list….but when you say "gifted" Jesse Jags should top the list…then Modenine…I don't know what Yung6ix is doing on the list…Eva Alordiah deserve a spot though

  13. Vector? …what is modnine doing there . tbh we didn't even listen to him like that we just heard he was good and we agreed

  14. u guys are just rily funny. how dyu explain mojeed at fourth and Ozone not making the list. dis is just ridiculous mehn. u know what…f*** NJO biased set of s***heads. #teamOzone

  15. Jesse jagz remain the best rapper of this time….having phyno above olamide is pure idiosyncrasy…cos olamide has been more relevant and has more features than phyno. A.Q and seriki deserve a place on the list instead of falz and young six.

  16. Not sure why M.I. isn't on this list but whatever notjustok na human being oo. You all should use good earphones/speakers to list to "The Chairman" album and I'm sure you would feel what M.I. made us miss for years.

  17. This is not suppose to be Most Gifted, Most active would have been better plus i cant understand why the absence of Terry The Rapman and Show dem Camp? They aint Gifted? Next time doing a Survey will make more sense.

  18. honestly though, i agree with the list but my only issue is that M.I. isn't on the list and that's a bit confusing…don't know how you'll talk about the best rap/hip hop acts from Nigeria and leave out the most significant of them all..

  19. I would rather this list be referred to as the hottest rappers in Nigeria in 2014 and not the most gifted but then it would be better with some little amends done. But under whatever circumstance,Eva Alordiah deserves a spot.We all know M.I is no doubt one of the best we ever had but given the time in review,he wasnt so consistent,Im sure he will be top 3 next year with the album he recently dropped. This list can never be perfect anyways cause we all have our preferences and even if any of us here who follows notjustok is asked to make his/her list,it would still be followed with criticism.Na so e be but I believe Eva deserves a spot and not just the worthy mentions,I really cant wait to see that babe work with Nicki.Shes naija Hip hop queen.Nice job guys,we hope for a better list next year because it can only get better and Im out…

  20. Please get over yourselves! MI and vector didn't meet the requirements! This list is hella credible! Big ups to the notjustok team! Keeping African music relevant

  21. @Ade………..Do i understand wat Olamide and Reminisce says, Capital no but i got much love for them……So take this ur Hate on hold and embrace the NGNG Album………..

  22. Check ur calendar well….In d last 15 Months, Phyno had more hits, more features and was more active than olamide, Bring out there both activities/page in NGO and check……Olamide had just 3 singles and Phyno had 5 singles/Hit tracks with an Album…..with about 10-12 Features……..

  23. All i have to say is this, Hard work pays……..Shout out to all the guys that made Rap a game, that paved way for Phyno and co………..Shout out to Phyno for giving us crazy hits as we always crave for more each day……And if you are beefing cause u claim u don't understand his flows just because Phyno is no Yoruba, Then go hang ur self or better still Jump into Mainland sea……………………………….ALOBAM is d Man this year…………..Like he said 14 Months ago……Man of the year and he proofed that………..Sipping my Harps beer now and waiting for those fellas that got hate for Phyno………

  24. MI not on the list? Then that's not a list its a sheet of paper. What's the different between you and linda always wanting Hype. You now want people to start talking about your shity list abi? You deyvloss your value everyday you post things like this. Olamide should not be there so is Phyno. For naija you have to mix both languages to be the at the top what is the use of Olamide's rap to a Hausa or an Ibo boy who doesnt understand yoruba? You should based your criterial on how people can relate to their music. To me Ice Prince can't rap! A good rapper that can't freestyle without a phone! Haba now. But no shaking he delivers on his songs so I give it up to him. Same with Yung6 the pigin english sounds better when this guys use them. You need to edit the list now and remove Olamide and his friend Phyno. I was expecting you to mention MI as number one his latest work is so inspiring. Not like Olamide's album that's States 'clean' on iTunes but we all know it's explicit. Rap should inspire people not latifa ketan. There is more to rap than what you boys at NJO thinks it is.

  25. Phyno more gifted than Olamide….dats Madness…MI and Vector arent on dat list…dats crase….Who is Mojeed and Falz???? This is definitely not just ok….RUBBISH…Olamide is number 1.

  26. I'm loving the comments, you have to love Nigerians. A yoruba commenter asks why Phyno's name is included because he can't understand Phyno. Non-yorubas contest Olamide aswell for the same reason. Entertainment! Then you have people looking for MI abaga when it clearly says "This year we are focusing on rappers who were active between July 2013 and September 2014".

In a bit, some artists go enter studio release their own comment as well. If say we dey read instruction, we for dey pass jamb oh. Some wan even help njo change the instructions.

Top 10 of the 'Gifted' rappers in Nigeria that have been 'Active' during a certain period. Oga even help us talk say "By active, I mean a minimum of 3 singles released OR a body of work (mixtape, EP or album) released during the aforementioned".

    Assumptions go kill us!

  27. This shit list is notjustok …corrections *Jesse jagz, Vector,M.i,Erriga,Reminisce,Olamide ,Phyno, wurd play, phenom and Banky w* Fuck wizkid that nigga 2 kiddish for my liking nd fuck overrated gayish ice prince ..

  28. the word "gifted" is a big one! Modenine is Nigeria ever most gifted rapper, like no one can come close to him if we're talking real hip-hop! He's the only 1st generation rapper on the list!…S/O to all rappers in the list!….but Olamide is less a rapper, he's more of a singer now!

    • It shlf hv been most relevant rapper, not most gifted. Bcos most gifted mode 9 no doubt is the one follow by others.

  29. These are a list of Phyno's work including features from June 2013 to September 2014,i did not include his works from Jan 2013 to May 2013 and his works from September 2014 to November 2014……..
So if you know any Musician in Nigeria that had such a year, please reply this post with his name and work from June 2013 to September 2014…….
And mind you, he was well featured cause he is good at what he does………..

no rapper beat that just fteatures omo olamide na don not even his albume yet ooo baddest guy ever liveth dope omo yes i love phyno and i don't have problem with the list but just want to prove you wrong

    • brother, this dude is truly the man of the year……. a game changer…. a trend maker… microphone innovator……… hip hop entrepreneur… phyno all the way man

  30. i hope the editors also sees this –

the only issue i have is the word GIFTED …why not use a more precise "hip hop related word" like lyricist or popular or most sales …so we know exactly how the listing can be justified. you confuse the readers with a broad word like "gifted" – artiste are gifted in different aspects of rap than others
if you say gifted then in my opinion they are all gifted but some more than some lyrically (in the time frame u picked) –

i would keep it short to 4 artiste (that i have taken time to study)- naija no get much lyrical artiste

    in no particular order

phyno (incredible gifted – how he could make such a difficult rapping language flow with ease and also maintain meaning and lyricism)

boogey (very very much lyrical – needs so much deserved promotion)

illbliss (very lyrical – with a little punchline here and there)

modenine (really hard to leave this guy out cuz we haven't had another keep the pace he has)

jesse jags is on an undefined genre – really hard to quantify him as a rapper – but none the less very gifted and lyrical
olamide throws a more punchlines than lyrics
yungsix throws a lot of punchlines with little lyricism
mojeed – haven't studied this guy

these are artiste i have listened to and some even studied – my opinion is not cast in stone but is coming from a nigerian record label exec located in atlanta – so i do have an idea
ice price – trying to come back with being more lyrical – went to commercial

  31. Please NOTJUSTOK. Change the tag/tittle of this!!! Please. Make it hottest not gifted!! How yu gon say gifted and not have VECTOR and A-Q On the list?

  32. I'm just knowing that Vector is nt from Nigeria. Nd I hate d way olamide is bin rated in dis rap game. Olamide doesn't rap nd if he's gonna rap, all we hear most of the time is his hustle.

  33. MI's album dropped in October.. The List only covers September.. and MI didn't have an EP before then so I guess that's why.. They ain't saying he's not good.

  34. You guys really Fucked up by not including vector in this..He released a mixtape hope you haven't forgotten…+ Olamide had a better year than phyno

  35. To u @kingyee2 or wat so ever u call ur self u re fool to de core ur mode of reason is too pure u think with ur leg

Where was phyno wen olamide was three times artiste of d month given to him by MTV BASE Africa where were u wen olamide was the most featured artiste where were u wen phyno said olamide paved way for him where were u wen olamide won 3 most prestigious award in nigeria (HEADIES) where were u wen olamide rock city people award. F**k u F**k ur reasoning.f**k u son of b***h go and ask M.I and PHYNO himself

M.I. Abaga Says Olamide Is The Most Hardworking Working Artiste In The Industry

Chocolate City Group, M.I Abaga Just released his 3rd Studio Album. If You haven’t grabbed your copy, Then you apparently are on a long thing, as It’s One of The best Album I’ve bought in Years! *Mesefibehumanbeing *lool, Now back to the news.

The rapper expressed his respect for the hustle and hard working spirit of fellow rapper, Olamide.

Before the album dropped, M.I. Abaga who featured Olamide on one of its track at his album listening party which held at Spice Route in Victoria Island, said:

“Olamide is the hardest working artiste in the industry, I think the Nigerian music industry is so blessed to have him. I respect him a lot, shout out to him.’

  36. I understand the word 'gifted' to mean being endowed with certain intellectual abilities- in this case rap. Jesse Jagz is all I can think of when I hear the word gifted. Mad album, self produced, diverse musical flow- what else does gifted mean? No disrespect to Phyno- he's the man of the year.. But it's high time we stopped sleeping on Jesse he shouldn't be lower than the top three.. but what do I know? Maybe I'm not 'gifted' enough to know what a gifted rapper should be lol..

  37. Lord knows i dont want to be a hater but if any of you have heard phyno's lyrics in english you'll know he's not dope at all.

I really dont understand igbo so i cant judge what he raps in igbo, maybe his igbo lyrics are dope, or maybe the igbo community is just proud of him and supports him. someone should PLEASE TRANSLATE SOME OF HIS DOPE IGBO LINES AND PROOVE ME WRONG PLEASE.

PHYNO on BULLION VAN "…. a bullion van, a bullion van….. feeling like the man, feeling like the man….. too much money to buy you a beer, buy you a beer…" thats what the typical phyno verse sounds like to me, lol crap.

As for Olamide he spits dope stuff in english along with his yoruba so i have not a doubt that his yoruba lines are equally dope.

Illbliss is another rapper who isnt worth being on the list.

I cant believe you guys didnt put Ozone up there, then you used the excuse that he is going "the commercial route"… His mixtape was too dope. Wasnt it MI who revolutionised nigerian rap by adding some commercial value???? why did you guys now use that to remove ozone from the list? Ozone's lyrics and flow are deeper than mojeed. lol im angry.

(before anyone opens mouth to say im a tribalist, i love patoranking, chidinma and runtown, all igbo guys so yes. phyno is shit. illbliss too.)

  38. The Best comment here period is by TUNJI

"I'm loving the comments, you have to love Nigerians.

    Assumptions go kill us!"

THE WORST COMMENT IS BY ADE –

"THIS NOTJUSTOK LIST IS PURE RUBBISH!..How would Phyno be number 1 when people don't know or understand what the heck he's saying.."

  39. NJO haba, everyone is entitle to their opinion but to some level of fairness, GIFTED RAPPERS!! Falz??? Falz is a comedian. Phyno is good rap wise, let forget the language, his bounce and attack is HIP HOP, Olamide lost it, where is Phenom? CDQ shoulda made the list, rap is HIP HOP, CDQ is HIP HOP, for crying out loud, MI just dropped his album, the dude aint singing commercial I hope you remember, I can understand why Jesse Jags stays at 6 but he is also one of 9ja best, Ice Prince is cool at 7 or if he can relocate to 9, Please leave iLLbliss to oversee Goretti, he already forgot he's a Rapper, still my best Igbo rapper tho, thanks for reminisce having 3.. NJO, you have read our opinion enough, it's time to rearrange your list… Remember RAP is HIP HOP… Go back and listen all CDQ's tracks from 2013 to 2014, u will then understand better…

  40. YOU GUYS SHOULD HAVE SAID TOP 10 COMMERCIAL RAPPERS
TBH MAJORITY OF THE GUYS THERE ARE COMMERCIAL THE ONLY EXCEPTION IS JESSE JAGS.
MY TOP 10 IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER ARE
    JESSE JAGS
    TOSIN KUTI
    M.I (HE'S A BIT COMERSH)
    BLACKMAGIC
    OZONE
    MOJEED
    PUCADO
    SUTE
    VECTOR

  41. fuck diz list were ya'll high on coke wen compiling diz? ma guys M.I, Jesse jags, ice prince, vector and legendary mode nine deserve a better spot.
As for phyno, only a baby will ever think he's good, dude ain't got no grammar

  42. First of all there's been an underground revolution in the "RAP" market ever since SARKODIE dethroned MI, Conventional Hiphop shifted to Ghana, Naija began embracing "INDIGENOUS HIPHOP" that led to the stagnation or damn near extinction of the careers of great lyricist like NEATO C, etc.. ICE PRINCE barely survived the loss of hiphop mantle to ACCRA GHANA. Olamide and Phyno have been successful in using their indigenous styled hiphop to gain huge fanbase, nobody can stop that, and you cannot blot them out of the list just because they're not coming with the "CONVENTIONAL HIPHOP' style like MI and the rest. Bottom line, NJO are you really saying that PHYNO is bigger than BADOO? Hello eh

  43. where is A-Q../.his mixtape was d bomb!!!! nd y is boogey nt in d real list!!! who dafuq is falz!!! plus yung6 n jesse dint do so much shit dz year.,jesse is a reggae astiste..nt a rapper..dafuq!!!! njo

  44. the list, to say the list us good. I see a peeps like Eva, Erigga, CDQ moving up to the main list if they keep up with their pace. Peeps like Olamide will be absent in the next list if considered on the current play mode. homie is now a singer….. damn. Yung6ix should also move up. I also think that language should not be a barrier to enjoying good hip hop. listen to south African joints u sure know they are crazy. hip hop is all about culture…. and is a person's way of life. #peace.

  45. Thanks to NJO team u guys are up to date coz the list is partly correct. Those guyz on top, Phyno n Olamide has really being active for the aforementioned season, but I still think Ice should go up to 3rd place while Mojeed n Falz should be omitted…#TeamVME

  46. You didn't proof me wrong…….Phyno had more features in the aforementioned time….And also you helped me add some tracks that featured Phyno that i missed……Good job though……….Olamide is behind him that's why he is 2nd……….Do the counting ur self……..

  47. @Prech Boy…..Did you finish High school????????????The world don't revolve with former champions……..I get am b4 no be business………..Say hello to d man of d year…….Olamide never paved way for Phyno……..That's an insult…………….Ghost Mode…………….Ghost Mode……..

  48. no vector no a.q no m.i? u must stupid to cal dz most gifted..vector had hz #A7 mixtape.a.q had hiz #son of john mxtape n m.i chairman album ..fr a rapper to freestyle fr an hour at a stand wat do u cal dat?i cal it gift .gv it up fr vector dude z gud.

  49. Tried so hard to just read comments n leave, buh… just couldnt leave without saying,
that aint a list of most gifted rapper, cozz as long as africa, not even just nigeria, is concerned, if m.i isnt in a list, then its automatically no longer a rap list,

its really anoyin tho, do this guys know what gifted really means?
    listen to mi3 thats a gift….
    ever listened to erigga?

buh… f*** it, everyone is entitled to their opinion,
that doznt mean every shitty opinion must be published,
word of advice to njo, get a board of experts in music to compile lists n ratings, so we could get beta opinion n judgment.. coz ur lists n ratings are becoming more n more anoying everyday…
    just an opinion..

  50. phyno is better than olamide lyrically…

let us look at it from their humble beginning

it is the same olamide that said "olamide is here lyk the first day of the year "..wtf is that..he also said "like java, I've got games"..what games

was it not same phyno that put up dope lines like "my beat is the killer. .Serial, and I flow so bloody..Period

phyno using mainly igbo is killing im but the dude us dope

aw will u compare someone listening to wasiu ayinde all is life to that of someone who has all the album of dope rappers like Jay-Z and kanye in terms of the lyrical aspect of what true rap is

  51. senselessness is taking control of you. what d fuck do u know about rap? who is Ozone…a dog or dead cat? Olamide is now more into singing than rapping. I have all Olamide's albums and believe me it is getting quacker by the day. go and listen to Phyno lyrics and compare with the likes of jigga, 2pac, dre, lords of the underground, lord tariq, ll cool j, etc, then u will know why NJO choose him as the best.

  52. This s by far the worst list I have seen in my life (Yes, it tops the list of noise makers in pre-school). In all defense to NJO, this should be called "Hottest rappers in Nigeria" because that's the only way PHYNO tops the list in a proper way but then again rappers like Mojeed wouldn't be here would they? So NJO we need to school you? Whatever came up with this list probably grew up on Kpor kri Kpor music.
Do you know what the term Gifted means?? I'll give you 2 minutes to think about it…. ok! NOw tell me, how is Phyno more gifted Lyrically than Jesse Jags? Ice Prince? Yung6ix? Vector?

Anything worth doing is worth doing well…. If you want to make you rap list relevant then make it credible because trust me, a lot of rappers are looking at this list and having a big laugh LOL!! Phyno? Really? hahahahaha

  53. Believe it or not , you are tribalist….

Some one can come and say for example all Olamide said in turn up is ELLLO OW ARE YOU..

    Geez nigerians and tribalistic inclinations….

You mentioning those artists to prove your are not tribalistic in nature just proved you are. Its like the oyibo person caught making racists comments and then they count their black friends to show they are not racist.

Look at your trend, you like chidinma, patoranking and runtown, cos they suppress their igboness a lot compared to Phyno. Whenever an igbo person wants to be igbo people begin fear. When an igbo person acts yoruba then y'all are happy… mstchewwwww

  54. Confused hater. How can you suggest that Phyno's rap isn't dope when translated to English and turn around and say you don't really understand Igbo. Anu ohia nwuru anwu.

Dude go keep drinking the Olamide kool aid. #Phyno on top

  55. invite the 10 of them on the list, give them the same beat, let them vibe and let us all see the beast and the best. For me jesse jagzs, maybe mojeed as last men standing. the list is about who is earning, gifted is an insult on some like jesse jagzs. mind you i love many of the guys on the list, but then you have to be careful using the word 'gifted'.

P.S; NJO, you need to be careful when doing stuff like this, you started to have good reputation, don't ruin it with cheap pub city.

  56. For those against the 'Gifted' nomenclature, my question is why will Jesse Jagz be the most gifted exactly? What will be the criteria for that? Even if so, how does one dethrone him from this fabled throne? Shall we wait till another Rap Messiah is born? Don't know about you guys but I do know Phyno, Olamide and Reminisce are all highly gifted. They re ORIGINAL. Do you know how hard that is? Doing something very few persons have done before you in ur own unique way and prospering at that. Even the rap greats like 2Pac and co have weak records. Phyno has dope punchlines and music is more than language.

  57. Jezzzzzzzz. U such a hater, have u ever heard olamide speaking during interveiws??? I lafed out ma throat dat day, but listen to phyno speak in english u hater u will go home and think twice.. Am nt here to hate on anyone, the two rappers (phyno and olamide) are xo good in killing beats whether english or not, gess dats y their fans like me love them xooooo much,, u really do suck@ mr hater

  58. well…….in short…that list is super wrong……. no joke i de vex for notjustok….and seriously im not just ok with this crap of craps list here…..hmmm!!!

  59. lol…fear??? the thing is eh….more than half of nigerians cant here what he raps…..just like almost sarkodie he flow nice but i cant undersatnd a shit…and you dont expect me to vote for him or cheer him…cos i dont understand his lyrics….e just be like say them they speak in tongues…lol.. for the igbo them like phyno illbliss and any igbo rapper unlike rugged man then……so definitely you no expect hausa guy or yoruba guy to like phyno…..rap should be of general langua….. lol……imagin them give sarkodie best africa rapper…or world best rapper like fifa rap cup…lol you no go vex….hmmmm

  60. for me phyno z suppose to b d number one no thought about dat but where z Erigga and yung6 z not supposed to b in dat list, for christ sake Eva really deserve a spot

  61. Well Mr hater or wat ever u call ur self u can even sing and ur trying to say a word that's dose not have means phyno phino is the man if u no like am go hug tramsformer aiit sick

  62. Rubbish putting jessy jags @no 6 position rubbish, jessy, eva, vector, erriga are suppose to be toping that list notjustok u guys are not just ok, stop d sentimental sh!t jex be real ok

  63. this top10 list is total nonsense.who is phyno when it come to rap music. even when we have the Best of Ice prince. M.i. Vector, moodnine, remeenise. who all sample Good lyrics for us to enjoy. I mean lyrics that are Meaning. I think we should all forget about culture when it comes to rating, phyno n alaminde should all only if indigenous rappers are need

  64. This list is Rubbish.. Jesse Jagz is by far the most gifted Rapper. Word Play, Delivery, and most importantly the Message behind the Bars.. And to crown it up he produces.. Common Notjustok..

  65. Juju rap is dfrnt from English rap how can a white man understand what phyno and olamide is rapping?? Dem rubbish cmpeld to vector, ice p, m.I and odas who rap what the world understands. Let dem rap in d language we all understand and let us see if phyno olamide and remenis will be in top 20 rada dam Jesse d king now m.I legend erigga d lyrical future 2 pac young6ix d future legend and king of d south y d boss mode9

  66. Yes my bro cos how can a white man or odas undstands or knw d meanin. Rappers who raps English should be top like Jesse m.i ice p odas who raps wat we undstnd

  67. How can you make a list and leave MI out of it? Mi is by far the most intellectual rapper Nigeria ever had. You just have to have a level of intelligence to understand a lot of what he says… In anycase i think its unforgivable that it took him 4 years to come up with a new CD. Between Phyno and Olamide i sincerely cannot pick. I understand Igbo and Yoruba equally and cannot put one above the other. To me MI first phyno and olamide second

  68. SA rappers hv taken over an y'all here doing rubbish list. Mode9 is the only rapper I see here, NJO thanks for killing the Nigerian music with all your Sabi Sabi and fake hypes, yu guys r so fake…damn!

  69. well i now see that so many Nigerians don't understand English language I don't know what is hard to understand in the word ACTIVE in 2013 to 2014 I just have one question for those MI fans. where was he in 2013 to 2014 ?
    NotjustOk team nice list.

  70. Nice nice.first i appreciate the time you guys took out to compile this list of top 10 most gifted rappers.with all that said i dont get the whole "worthy mention" feels like pity.and then i dont know if u gyz do it buh can u also reach out to underground arts and encourage dem. are olamide, phyno etc truly hiphop rappers or what?cuz am not sure we should consider them here on dis category for rappers we can if its afro/hiphop/wat ever they call it dis days.Hope u read my comment#plz go out and vote #pray for our country #dnt forgt bring back our girls#lovepeaceharmonyunity#Godbless NIGERIA

  71. So Olamide is the one that Every Nigerian understands? I love the dude but half the time you can't hear what he's saying, sounding like Lil Wayne and at times he recycles his rap or just praise himself . sarkodie's flow is amazing, you don't even have to understand it to like it. Music is universal, there's nothing like "the language ppl understand" . just like half of the music that's made in Nigeria is all about nice and dancy beat and not on meaningful lyric, but it still a hit and ppl like it. It would do Nigeria a lot good if you guys learn to tolerate yourselfs with stand the tribe.

  72. As we all knw d best of them is 5star general(olamide),,,his name supose to be putin on to instead of phy cause he is talented more than them,, bt this list has nt complete without ..mi..

  73. Its not true @ all.
Olamide, reminisce, cdq, chinko ekun, phyno, mi, iceprince, falz, mode 9 and lil kes

  74. woooaaaa!!!! hmmm rubbish list SinzuSMG spite more bars than any of this idiots…fuck all this murtherfuckers called local rappers…this is my list…
    1: SinzuSMG
    2: M.I
