To every artist out there, you can now upload your songs to MyNotjustOk
The NotjustOk team has been thinking about the future of African digital music and has also been listening to a lot of complaints, and has seen the frustration from many artists/creatives whose content has not made it onto Notjustok.com, because of the nature of the content we post.
After considering these realities, among many others, we decided to create a platform, MyNotjustOk, where ALL artists and audio track creators can upload their OWN content to a useful and meaningful platform that will foster sharing, listening, and monetizing of music online.
MyNotjustok.com is an audio upload/music discovery and social platform that allows music artists and audio creators upload and share their content with their fans. We will enforce that everyone who uploads content has the right to do so and if any Copyright is being infringed upon by any user, the track will be taken down once the owner of the audio track submits all necessary evidence that they own the song or audio. We will provide a series of posts in the coming weeks to make it easier for you to use and become an active user on the MyNotjustok Platform.

This August, leading music website notjustok.com has announced the release of ‘MyNotJustOk’ mynotjustok.com; an advanced music platform that creates an opportunity for users, artistes, and their fans to explore different music sharing options. The Mynotjustok platform enables artistes and other audio content creators to upload their content, share with followers and also link up with iTunes so that listeners can purchase their music.
After several years of consistently serving the best of Nigerian and African music content and experiences, we decided to take it a step further; MyNotjustok gives African artists and audio creators a platform to share their content on blogs and social media platforms.’ – Demola Ogundele, founder of notjustok.com explains.
The web application also boasts of very personalized experiences for each user as fans have the option of choosing the music they want to see on their homepage by following their preferred artist or audio content creator, fans can also post comments, create their own personal playlists, and have conversations with the MyNotjustok community on topics that they care about. The Mynotjusok platform will be available to the public on August 25, 2014. Also, look out for the Notjustok IOS and Android Apps set to launch shortly.

Think Soundcloud. Now we finally have the ability to access the entirety of naija music out there and through a voting system bring many unknowns who merit it to the limelight. That's awesome.

I was actually thinking of creating something like this a while ago, and thought it would be a great tool for less known acts. I never added it to my music site, but it is real good to see that the NJO team has put it together, and it looks good.
I expect more features to be added as time goes on, but for now it is clean and functional.

The flood gates have been opened. Demola and Ovie basically took the bottleneck out, hopefully now they hope people will actually use it. Lets think about this now, anybody knows they can get their music on mynotjustok but not notjustok.com. This are two different platforms, notjustok nice move on branding a "MUSIC STREAMING" platform since the IOS app failed to pull through, but i'll have to say nice marketing move, lets see how this pans out.
The fact remains if you can't make it on the actual NJO platform you aren't HOT!!! LOL

i suggest the top rated new/ upcoming acts are either featured on dis site or there's a widget on the main site listing them for those who do not go to mynotjustok to know about. This will encourage new acts to upload their music to mynjo

Back to business, I agree with GoFigure to a certain degree… I applaud NJO for the attempt although I must say, if you're gonna mimic a system already in function at least attempt to fix the flaws such as aforementioned above be GoFigure, manipulated plays, fake downloads, fake stats, etc… I believe once that's taken care off, y'all can actually make a certified reputable site with honest stats/feedback. This is just my observation, I could be wrong though… cudos though.. love you guys and what y'all represent or bring to the table….

First, I salute your efforts, It's not easy at all to be an Entrepreneur on any level.
So here is my concern and advice.
if there is no way to get them upcoming artist on the main site then its a fail.
It's like people say a soundcloud of sorts
There should be a way to track the highest played/shared songs and come up with a top ten artist list every month.
It's like promoting an U-21 team player to the senior team. That said, it is the responsibility of the artists to share and market themselves and their pages. No one will do that for you! (the so-called upcoming artist). Put in work and you will be seen.
By the way, good music sells itself…But initially, you still get put in work to get some traffic, then pple who like it will begin to share it.

In this great scheme of things you receive an A just for hard work. Where you misplaced everybody was first on all the details. You know, it is said, details make or break the argument.. And it couldn’t be more true at this point. Having said that, permit me inform you just what exactly did give good results. The authoring is definitely highly powerful which is possibly why I am taking the effort in order to opine. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. Secondly, while I can certainly see a leaps in reason you come up with, I am not really confident of how you seem to unite your points which inturn help to make your conclusion. For right now I will yield to your issue however trust in the near future you actually link your facts better.
